This morning (Easter Monday) FISH4KIDS volunteers assembled and delivered nearly 6,000 lunches. You can see some of the lunch bags and a sweet note left for one of our special delivery drivers. While the response has been strong - more than 38 children have been sponsored since Thursday - we humbly come to ask for your help for our youngest neighbors in need.

Each spring for over a decade, FISH has worked through participating churches to ask members to sponsor a child for the summer. This spring we are taking this project directly to you, our community. Will you sponsor food for a local child?

Each sponsorship covers the cost of feeding a child 5-6 days each week and provides them with a hygiene kit. With our partnership with the Atlanta Community Foodbank, generous local companies, and our hard-working volunteers, FISH is able to provide and deliver a nutritious, kid-friendly lunch for around $1 a meal.

We estimate it will cost FISH4KIDS $120 to feed each child lunch for 5 months. Although some families will be able to receive food from the Walton County School District or Social Circle City Schools now that spring break is over, these sources will not be available during the summer months. There continues to be a growing demand for meals. Will you prayerfully consider echoing God’s love to these children by providing the certainty of a meal in a time of uncertainty?

Connect with friends, Sunday School classes or family members to sponsor a local child in honor of a special person in your life, perhaps one of the heroes who has emerged during this crisis, or in memory of a loved one. You may designate your gift in honor or in memory of a special person and list your church if you want to be counted in the church challenge.
