Juniper Village is partnering with Monroeville Area Pride and Community Aid to collect new or gently used backpacks and school supplies for Gateway School District students. Donations can be dropped off at Juniper Village or Monroeville United Methodist Church throughout June and July.

Juniper Village at Monroeville celebrated Memorial Day with a delicious spread of classic, picnic-style favorites. The holiday meal was made extra special thanks to Executive Chef and Dietary Manager, Vana, who prepared everything beautifully. It was a wonderful way to honor the day together with festive flavors and great company.

We were incredibly grateful to have Dr. Kristina Johnson from Monroeville Direct Primary Care stop by to lead an insightful health discussion in our community. She shared valuable guidance on proactive ways to improve mental and physical health through lifestyle adjustments before turning to medication.

Community members enjoyed the beautiful weather this past weekend while sprucing up the garden! Everyone was especially delighted to watch a mother bird tend to her babies in a nest built just above an outside window.

May is "Feel the Music" month at Juniper Village and boy did we ever!

We started our day with a fantastic concert by the Middle School Choir of Gateway School District! Afterward, Dr. Anthony B. Mitchell and Beatrice Y. Mitchell from the Ibeji Drum Ensemble (part of Kuumba, Inc.) hosted an explosive drum circle demonstration and lesson.

We rounded the day with calming music by the talented, Patrick Kelly!

Residents and associates were also treated to delicious Coffee from Brave Bean Coffee Company. It was truly a wonderful day!
