💜 Together We Fight: Raising Awareness for Multiple Myeloma 💜
Multiple Myeloma is a rare but serious cancer that affects plasma cells in the bone marrow. While treatment options have advanced, there's still so much more to learn and discover in the fight against this disease.
👩‍⚕️ What is Multiple Myeloma?
It’s a type of blood cancer that disrupts the body’s ability to produce healthy blood cells, leading to weakened bones, kidney problems, and other life-threatening issues.
🎗️ Signs to Watch For:
• Bone pain, especially in the back, ribs, or hips
• Fatigue and weakness
• Unexplained weight loss
• Recurrent infections
💡 Know the Facts:
• Multiple Myeloma accounts for approximately 1% of all cancers in the U.S.
• It is more common in older adults, but can affect anyone.
• Research and advancements are saving lives, but more awareness is needed!
🔬 How Can You Help?
1. Donate: Support research and patient assistance programs.
2. Share this Post: Spread the word about the symptoms and importance of early detection.
3. Advocate: Join the fight for better treatment options and awareness.
💪 Together, we can make a difference. Whether you're living with Multiple Myeloma, supporting a loved one, or helping spread awareness, you're part of a community that fights together. 💜
