Allegheny Health Network's Cancer Patient Ambassador program was formed to compliment the clinical expertise of the AHN Cancer Institute with emotional and practical support for newly diagnosed patients.

Now in its second year, the program has grown to include 90 ambassadors providing firsthand insights on the unique challenges of cancer.

The program pairs newly diagnosed cancer patients with volunteer ambassadors who have successfully navigated their own cancer journeys, providing emotional and practical support.
