EBook now available - Dr. John Carosso's eBook - ABA in a Parent-Friendly Format.
The Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) approach is often misunderstood, despite being frequently cited and seemingly mysterious. Put simply, it is a systematized and regimented series of approaches to analyzing, understanding, and modifying behavior. This eBook answers the following questions:
1. What is ABA?
2. What is ABA used to treat?
3. How is the ABA approach implemented?
4. Does it work?
5. What is DTT, and how is it involved in ABA?

I also share several valuable videos that demonstrate the implementation of Applied Behavioral Analysis, as well as examples of DTT and various interventions.

NEW ARTICLE: Parenting with Presence: The Power of Getting Softer, Closer, and Calmer
Let’s face it—parenting is hard. When your child is upset, defiant, or overwhelmed, it’s easy to slip into frustration or raise your voice. However, neuroscience suggests that children don’t respond well to intense stimuli. Today, I want to dive a little deeper into that idea and highlight the importance of remaining calm, getting down to your child’s level, and inviting them into cooperative problem-solving.

Hair test at one month can detect autism? Not holding my breath, and clearly highly suspicious, but who knows? Costs $500.00 and not covered by insurance. I'll have to investigate more but seems it's far more accurate ruling-out autism (92.5%) than ruling-in autism (no stats given and only suggests further developmental evaluation is needed). Ultimately, either way, a child has to demonstrate the signs and symptoms to be diagnosed. Guess we'll see how this test plays out.

Biomedical startup claims to rule out risk in children, offering faster results than traditional evaluations.
