And don't believe Google or any road signs which are trying to tell you the roads are closed. They are not! You don't need chains or four wheel drive to get here. So, see you later friends, we missed you!

A magical moment in the Maasai Mara!

The ever impressive male lion Mrefu and the Rekero lioness Mikunjo secludedly spending time together in the vast open plains framed in golden colors by the sun. They make sure that there’s a next generation of lions to roam the wilderness in the future.

The contrast between male and female is impressive here, mostly highlighted by his massive mane which is one of the biggest among all male lions of the Maasai Mara. Mikunjo, now six years old, is a daughter of the legendary musketeer male lions of which Scarface was a part of and thus it’s great to see that his genes are still strong in the reserve!

With all of the extreme environmental occurrences taking place right now, such as droughts, monsoons, wildfires, and more, it is essential to remember that wildlife is more heavily affected than we are. Bears and other animals are going to seek refuge. We cannot play the victim and get mad at wildlife when they wander into our yards. They have lost significant portions of their habitat and now face the human-induced perils of mother nature.
