I spent yesterday at Vision Expo, in NYC! I saw so many great things and forgot to take any pictures! Behind me is the Javits Center which was FULL of all kinds of optical fun this weekend! Popular frame color? BLUE! (even though I’m wearing pink, haha!)

I am often asked “what’s the style?” by people trying to choose a new frame. There is something for everyone but generally speaking, frame styles are a bit deeper (some people say taller!) than before. I have a semi rimless frame from years ago that is so gorgeous, but long ago discontinued. With my new edger, I was able to easily change the shape, for a more updated look! This picture shows the old lens and the new lens and I can’t wait to start wearing these again!

Dear friends, going forward, we can no longer accommodate patients who skip their appointments without notice. As many of you know, Dr. Gousy is only available one day per week. Despite our reminder calls, the "No Call/No Show" appointments for 2022 amount to almost three weeks worth of appointments! Going forward, our policy is that established patients have one excused miss and new patients will not be rescheduled. Please, just let us know and we are happy to reschedule you! Thank you for your understanding!

This weekend I had the experience of volunteering with Remote Area Medical ( ramusa.org) at their clinic in Philadelphia. Their mission is to prevent pain and alleviate suffering through quality free healthcare. I have wanted to do this for a while so I decided to make the commitment and go. I am SO GLAD I DID! I met so many great people, volunteers and patients. The hustle and bustle could be a lot at times, but everyone just plugged away with determination to help. Overall, we helped 712 people over the course of two days, and at least half came through vision. Some did vision and dental, so I’m not sure our total numbers. I am beat, in the best way, and I can’t wait to volunteer again! ❤️❤️❤️

Hello to all! I hope you are staying safe and dry today! Dr Gousy and I are watching the weather closely and trying to make the best decisions possible for tomorrow’s patients. We have called the first three appointments to reschedule. As of right now, it looks like we will be able to come in, though a bit late. If things change, I will be calling you to let you know.
