Trauma is often passed down from generation to generation until someone is brave enough to break the cycle. Today, with all the heaviness going on in the world, I send a shout out to the cycle breakers. The strong men and women who have had the courage to look at themselves and make positive changes. Within my professional career, it has been my pursuit to guide individuals through their trauma and help them to navigate the challenging effects of mental illness, and the toll it has taken on themselves and their families.
May has always been a favorite month of mine. What a better time than during Mental Health Awareness Month to launch New Beginnings Counseling, and expansion of my private practice and my social media presence.
