Gossip can seem small in the moment. A quick comment, a shared story, something said when someone else isn’t around. But the truth is, gossip can leave wounds that run deep. Words have the power to build people up… but they also have the power to tear people down.
Many of us come to Celebrate Recovery carrying pain from things that were said about us, behind our backs or in moments when we were already struggling. Gossip can damage friendships, families, and even someone’s sense of worth. It can make someone feel isolated, judged, or unsafe in places where they should feel loved and supported.
At Celebrate Recovery, we want to be different. This is a place of healing, not hurting. A place where stories are safe, where struggles are met with compassion, and where we protect each other’s hearts. When someone shares their story here, it is sacred. It deserves respect, grace, and confidentiality.
Tonight, let’s remind ourselves that recovery is about honesty, humility, and love. Instead of speaking about someone’s struggle, let’s pray for them. Instead of repeating a story, let’s offer encouragement. Instead of tearing down, let’s build up.
If you’re struggling, hurting, or carrying the weight of something heavy, you are welcome here. No judgment. No gossip. Just people walking the road of healing together through Jesus.
