After a significant increase and recent wave of unruly behavior and disruptive consumer misconduct occurring at our office, we'd like to kindly remind everyone to exude patience, humanity and kindness.

We do not tolerate any verbal harassment, aggression or disruptive behavior in our office. Anyone in violation of this will be asked to leave and will be permanently dismissed from our care.

Tantrums such as throwing glasses at us, screaming, hurling insults, disrespecting our staff and disrupting our establishment is unacceptable. We are healthcare workers who have continued to work diligently throughout the pandemic so that we can continue to provide quality eye care and eyewear for our patients.

We encourage everyone to rise against hate and find the humanity within themselves to be kind to one another.

To the overwhelming majority of our patients who are kind, we sincerely say thank you and are happy to continue to serve you.

We’re tackling one of Google’s Most Searched Eye Term: Pink Eye!

Pink eye is a general term used to describe any redness of the eyes. All of which could be due to an infection, inflammation or trauma. Your optometrist will be able to properly diagnose what type of red eye you have, treat it and tell you whether or not it is contagious.

Fun fact: There are no over-the-counter eye drops that will treat red eyes. Visine, Clear Eyes, Simulsan, Rohto, Naphcon A, and other OTC eye drops claiming to treat pink eye will not work and may make things worse. These drops treat redness temporarily and does not treat the source of the red eye.

Instead, make an appointment ASAP with your optometrist to evaluate your eye. We’ve treated many cases where the “pink eye” ended up being a corneal ulcer (serious infection) or uveitis (inflammation of the uveal tissues in the eye). When in doubt, don’t wait to get it examined so you don’t delay care.

The industry as a whole is facing unprecedented delays due to the current global situation. We are currently doing our best to get to all of our patients' glasses despite the increased volume of orders and delays.

Please bear in mind that there will be shipping and manufacturing delays. Back stocked products are facing new restrictions, inspections, and bans with the import of goods and materials. These delays are also occurring in all other industries including food and beverage, furniture, lumber and more.

After a noticeable increase and recent wave of consumer misconduct occurring at our office, we'd like to kindly remind everyone to exude patience and humanity.

We do not tolerate discrimination or racism of any kind. Nor do we tolerate any verbal harassment, aggression or disruptive behavior in our office. Anyone in violation of this will be asked to leave or will be dismissed from our care.

Hurling insults, disrespecting our staff and disrupting our establishment is unacceptable and counterproductive. We are healthcare workers who have continued to work tirelessly throughout the pandemic so that we can continue to fulfill our patients' eye care and eyewear needs.

We are not your punching bags. We are people who chose this field to help the lives of others.

Mistakes and errors will happen. A delay will not mean the end of the world. Your glasses will arrive. A hiccup does not grant an open door for harassment.

Curbside Pick-Up Now Available!

Glasses and contacts are available for curbside pick-up by appointment only. Please call us at (323) 720-1600 from Monday through Saturday from 9am-5pm or email us at hello@eyepeopleoptometry.com if you'd like to request a curbside pick-up time.

If you have glasses or contacts on order, we will reach out to you to schedule a pick-up time once we receive your order.

Curbside Pick-Up Instructions:

1) Reserve a curbside pick-up time by calling us at (323) 720-1600, Monday-Saturday 9am-5pm.

2) At your reserved time, arrive at the designated curbside pick-up parking spots at "Zone 9" located between Macy's Home and JC Penney on the SOUTH END of the mall next to N Montebello Blvd. Please note that this is on the other side of the mall and not at the closest entrance to us.

3) Call us at (323) 720-1600 once you have arrived and provide us with your first and last name, DOB and vehicle description.

We will be out shortly with your glasses or contacts!

Please pardon our wait time as we will be coming from the other end of the mall -- we have our running shoes ready!
