Ronald “Ronn” S. Lindert, age 74 of Oxford passed away Monday, November 10, 2025 at Columbus Health and Rehab. Ronn was born in Beaver Dam to Vilas and Helen (Bobholz) Lindert on June 4, 1951. He graduated from Cambria High School in 1969 and furthered his education at Troy State University. In 1972, Ronn was drafted into the US Army where proudly served his country for several years. He was united in marriage on June 23, 1973 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oxford to Georgia Johnson and together they were blessed with six children.

Ronn worked for the Federal Bureau of Prisons for many years, finishing his career as the Comptroller in Washington DC. He rejoined the workforce as a procurement agent for the State of Wisconsin Department of Justice, retiring in 2020. Ronn loved to garden and spent countless hours tending to his flowers and yard. He was an avid Brewers, Packers and Badgers fan.

Ronn is survived by his wife of 52 years, Georgia and six children: Heather (Gene) Kangas of Oshkosh, Heidi (Chris) Meyer of Appleton, Mark (Allie) of Washington, Alyssa (Chris) Burwell of North Carolina, Andrea (Tim Cyracus) Lindert of Appleton and Jaxon of Oxford. He is also survived by many grandchildren, four siblings: Glenn (Ruth) of Rio, Deborah (Hugh) Shaw of North Carolina, Chris (Linda) of Rio and Carol Sue (David) Johnson of Rice Lake along with brother-in-law, Eddie (Dina) Johnson and sisters-in-law: Sue (Dennis) Hodges and Noreen Lindert.

Ronn is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tom.

A memorial service for Ronald Lindert will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at The First Presbyterian Church in Oxford. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. Pastor Brenda Pulver will preside and inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will established in Ronn’s name.

John Ducett

John David Ducett, age 61 of Montello passed away at his home on Friday, October 31, 2025. John was born on February 22, 1964 in Blue Island, IL to Raymond and Carol (Parent) Ducett. He grew up in Frankfort, IL and graduated from Lincoln Way East High School and furthered education in CNC machining. John came to Montello in 2007 to be closer to family. He was a very mechanically gifted person, working as a CNC machinist for many years and could fix just about anything. Another passion of his was music, John was a drummer and singer in several bands. He will be remembered for his selflessness and being a great papa.

John is survived by his parents, Raymond and Carol Ducett of Montello, two daughters: Baili Ducett of Joilet, IL and Alissa (Jacob) Deskins of Grand Marsh along with a granddaughter, Lillianna and soon-to-be grandson, Lincoln. John is also survived by four siblings: Jeff (Gwen), Laurie Renwick, Lisa (Robert) Korb and Raymond Jr. as well as other extended family members.

John is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Zweifel and maternal grandmother, Marjorie Parent.

A memorial service for John Ducett will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. Visitation will be held from 8:30 AM until the hour of service. Father Savio Yerasani will preside and inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family.

Nancy L. Winkler, age 84 of Westfield passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at her home with her husband and daughter by her side. Nancy was born in Wausau on January 18, 1941 to Clifford and Marie (Lund) Gilbert. She was united in marriage to Conrad “Connie” Winkler in Milwaukee on October 29, 1960 and they enjoyed 65 years together. Nancy loved performing with her husband as Cool Nancy and Connie Cool.

Nancy leaves behind her husband, Conrad and daughter, Renee (Jeff Neuenschwander) Winkler along with several other relatives and friends.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and son, Ronald Winkler.

Honoring Nancy’s wishes, she will be laid to rest privately with her son.

Valerie Fay Stalsberg, age 65 of Neshkoro passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, October 30, 2025. Valerie was born in Racine on September 21, 1960 to Harry and Betty (Bjork) Tuinstra. She grew up and attended school in Racine, marrying Larry Stalsberg on January 21, 1989. They resided in Racine until relocating to Neshkoro in 2000 and Valerie was currently employed at Airmon Technologies in Montello. In her spare time she enjoyed: baking, crocheting, gardening, canning and most of all being grandma.

Valerie leaves behind her husband of 46 years, Larry and four children: Jamie Tuinstra of Montello, Jennifer (Robert) Sekuloski of Racine, Amy Stalsberg of Princeton and Adam (Alexis) Stalsberg of Neshkoro. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Hailey, Cheyenne, Ty, Katie, Bianca, Robert, Isabella, Brandon, Willow, Ethan and Lane as well as one great-granddaughter, Kali. Valerie is further survived by her siblings: Scott (Jane) Tuinstra, David (Karen) Tuinstra and Therese (Dale) Tuinstra-Blunck along with other extended family members.

Valerie is preceded in death by her parents and brother, PFC Dennis Tuinstra.

A funeral service for Valerie Stalsberg will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Pastor Mike Vargo will officiate and burial will be private.

Gerald “Jerry” Allen McDougal, age 86 of Adams passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at Patriot Place in Berlin. Jerry was born in Packwaukee to Archie and Elsie (Klawitter) McDougal on July 4, 1939. He was raised in rural Montello and spent most of his life as a hog farmer or working with scrap metal. Jerry loved the outdoors, especially deer hunting, cutting firewood and always looked forward to going fishing.

Jerry is survived by seven children: Gerald Jr., Susan, Sally, Sara, Thomas, Judy and Bill as well as a step-daughter, Rachel. He is also survived by many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, son, Patrick and two brothers and one sister.

Services for Jerry will be private.

Geraldine “Gerry” J. Lein, age 94 of Montello passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Patriot Place in Berlin. Gerry was born in West Allis on June 11, 1931 to Dewey and Ida (Reuman) Stickney and was raised in Milwaukee. She married George Lein on May 29, 1954 and together they spent weekends on Lake Puckaway until they made it their permanent home in 1985. George preceded Gerry in death on July 24, 2004.

Gerry leaves behind her two children: Jeanette “Jan” (Butch) Stelter of Montello and James “Jim” (Mary) Lein of Muskego as well as many other family members.

Honoring Gerry’s wishes, no services will be held.

Mark D. Machkovech, age 67 of Oxford (Parker Lake) passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 19, 2025 at his home. Mark was born on February 25, 1958 to Allen and Esther (Means) Machkovech in Beaver Dam. He moved with his family to Parker Lake at the age of 7; graduating from Westfield High School in 1976. Mark furthered his education at UW-Madison and purchased Parker Lake Lodge from his parents in 1978. Owning and operating Parker Lake Lodge was Mark’s life, where he made many lasting friendships and created lifelong memories that spanned generations. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing pool and always looked forward to his trips south in the winter.

Mark is survived by his siblings: Michael Machkovech of Dallas, TX, Marian Baumann of Elkhorn, Diane (Rick) Kettleson of Oxford, Gerry (Jamie) Machkovech of Janesville, Dan (Mary Sesto) Machkovech of DeForest and Patrick Machkovech of Packwaukee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families along with his many wonderful friends of the Parker Lake Community.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Susan (Phil Ni) Machkovech and nephew, David Ni.

A celebration of Mark’s Life is being planned.

Jeremiah “Miah” David Finley, age 50 of Oxford passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at his home. Miah was born in Elkhorn on November 6, 1974 to Randall and Marlene (Cochran) Finley. He attended Burlington Schools and furthered his education at Gateway Technical College earning a degree in computer programming. Miah worked as a business systems analyst at Sub Zero and Generac and was most recently employed as a carpenter. He was very mechanically gifted and was always tinkering with something, never sitting still. Miah was the kind of guy who would help anyone, almost always before helping himself. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and was also cat lover and Star Wars aficionado. Miah will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, honesty, and loyalty.

Miah leaves behind his mother, Marlene Goldbeck, three children: Steel (Lauren), Savannah (husband, Caleb Pierson) Finley and Skyler Finley as well as four grand children: Luna-Marie, Ashton, Grayson and Sterling. He is survived by his sister, Crystal (Scott) Olson, former step-father, John Goldbeck and several nieces and nephews.

Miah is preceded in death by his father, Randall Finley, and sister, Melissa Goldbeck.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Toni Lee Busch, age 73 of Montello passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. Toni was born in Milwaukee on December 27, 1951. She raised her family in Milwaukee and met James “Jim” Tickner in 2002. Together they owned The Gym Bar in Milwaukee and moved to Montello in 2010 to own and operate Kozy Rest Motel until 2022. Toni was an artistically gifted person; she enjoyed decorating, sewing, crafting as well as gardening. She enjoyed spending time with her canine companions and her family.

Toni is survived by her partner of 23 years, Jim Tickner and two children: Sue (Mike) Sambs and Robert Winters along with four grandchildren: Kristen (Chuck), Matthew (Sarah), Ryan (Amber) and Kevin (Bre).

A funeral service for Toni Busch will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Crawford Funeral Home in Montello. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the hour of service. Pastor Mike Vargo will preside and burial will follow at the Montello City Cemetery.

Richard “Rick” C. Gericke, age 75 of Oxford passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at his home. Rick was born in Madison on December 8, 1949 to George and Ann (Gadville) Gericke. He graduated from Madison East High School in 1967 and went on to proudly serve his country as a member of the United States Army. Following his time in the service, he married Nancy Gugel and she preceded him in death in December of 1996. Rick worked for the Dane County Highway Department as a mechanic; he retired after many years of faithful employment. He married Beverly “Bev” (Herfel) Bahler in May of 2000. In that same year, they moved to Oxford and became owners of R Place in Oxford. Bev preceded Rick in death on December 9, 2021.

Rick enjoyed hunting, shooting pool and gathering with friends. He always looked forward to his gambling trips and butter runs. Rick’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter.

Rick is survived by three sons: Tim of Oxford, Gordon (Dawn) of Madison and David and as well as several grandchildren. He is further survived by dear life-long friend, Kathy Gray.

Rick is preceded in death by his parents, wives and daughter, Angela Kaltenberg.

A Celebration of Rick’s Life will be held from 12:00 until 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Generations Bar in Oxford.

Jerome “Jerry” Kratz, age 82 of Montello passed away peacefully at Wisconsin Dells Health Services on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Jerry was born on February 26, 1943 to Charles Sr. and Aileen (Ashley) Kratz. He was raised in rural Montello and attended Montello Schools. Jerry always loved working the land and throughout his life, he was employed by several area farmers. In his later years, he could be found out driving the country roads and was always an avid Green Bay Packers and Nascar fan. Jerry loved his family and cherished the time they were able to spend together.

Jerry is survived by his son, Daniel (Debbie) of Oxford and daughter, Theresa (Robert) Trepish of Adams as well as five grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Willis (Karen), sisters-in-law: Virginia and Barb and many other extended family members.

Jerry is preceded in death by his son, Thomas and grandson, Thomas Jr. as well as his siblings: Fred (Patsy), Charlotte (Melvin) Ingraham, Lois (Merle) Cain, Frank (Fran), Harry (Lennice), Charles Jr., and Dale.
