This time, we visited Manthali, a small city nestled beside the Tamakose River in eastern Nepal. Houses are scattered along the riverbank, the fragrance of earth and the scent of grass and trees intertwining, a scene of simple, unpretentious life. We spent three meaningful days in this land, carrying the hope of Moringa.
We visited a local primary school and a university, sitting and talking with teachers, explaining the value of moringa in food and medicine. When we talked about the natural and gentle skincare benefits of moringa oil, the female teachers immediately became curious and asked about its usage and skincare effects. Addressing university graduates about to enter the workforce, we conveyed the core value of Moringa—it is easy to grow, extremely nutritious, rich in protein, vitamins, and various minerals, making it an excellent choice for improving the local situation and alleviating malnutrition. We hoped to guide these young people to invest in Moringa-related industries.
We wandered through riverside villages, quaint communities, and small markets, gathering villagers under the lush trees at village entrances, explaining Moringa knowledge repeatedly in simple and easy-to-understand language. During our visit, we had the privilege of meeting a centenarian in the village and gazing together at the century-old Moringa tree, the same age as the elder—its branches strong and its leaves lush, silently witnessing the changes of this land.
On the last day of our trip, we visited the mayor of Manthali. He listened to our reports on the results of our promotional efforts and repeatedly urged us to return to Manthali, promising his full support for our future Moringa promotion work. In just three days, we successfully completed our mission to promote Moringa, experiencing the simplicity and enthusiasm of the local people. We hope that Moringa will quietly take root and thrive in this small riverside town.
