Amazing week @ TheraSens Pediatric Occupational & Physical Therapy! We concluded our fine motor camps. Mona, our new OT who is fluent in Tagalog & has advanced training in picky feeders started this week. We hired our previous OT student, Savannah, who will be our 4th therapist that’s fluent in Spanish to our team. Dr. Coleman, developmental pediatrician, conducted diagnostics tests for our patients. Natividad Medical Center had a family resident doctor come to shadow & learn what OT & PT’s do. Taylor, our wonderful capstone student presented her research project & she created these great handouts in English & Spanish to help parent’s with problem feeders. It’s been a busy week 🐝

Congratulations Savannah for completing your capstone on the effectiveness of our Little One social skills classes & recieving your OT Doctorate Degree. These classes were once again an IRB study that showed positive outcomes!

These two local professionals and friends are collaborating once again to bring the best OT/ST services to the community. By organizing and hosting monthly feeding clinics, Jennifer D'Attilio and Natalie Sanders bring many different professionals together to serve families facing pediatric feeding disorders.

Instead of multiple appointments with different specalists, families get all the help they need in one place, with one visit.

Their next feeding clinic is happening tomorow, May 13. Referral from a physician is required. For more information, call 831-645-7900.

Feeding tip of the week: if your toddler is having trouble with eating meals & grazing all day, try giving 3 meals a day plus snacks, but let them be at least 2 hours from the time they stop eating until presenting food again. If they want their food or milk prematurely offer water. This will help them balance their hunger cycle and food intake.
