First birth of 2026 is done! A beautiful baby brought into this world by one strong mama!

One more for this month then I’m off for ALL of February! I’ll have some much free time I won’t even know what to do, I guess I’ll teach a three week childbirth education class 🤣

If you haven’t seen my story today you may not know that I’ve been tricking myself into getting a list of things done (including taking down Christmas decorations 😬😂) with three boxes of stuff I ordered and really wanted to open 😂 My tasks are completed, here’s what I ordered to add to my birth bag and for the upcoming Childbirth education class!

What can I say, I’ve never been one to travel light 😂 Clinic this week was FULL. 6 prenatal massages and 1 outcome based session (that’s right, 7 hours of massage!)😅 Plus another class sign up!

In case you haven’t heard, my new office day is Tuesdays! This means any Upper Cumberland Midwifery Services, LLC clients coming into the clinic for prenatal appointments can also schedule a massage for the same day! Two birds, one stone…or appointment day 😂

As always, my schedule is open to all women! My day starts at 9am and ends at 7pm so there is plenty of availability for all!

A little late to the party, but here is my 2025 recap!

I had the honor of attending 10 births this year (8 Doula & 2 Birth Assisting)

Some were fast and furious, some were marathons, some didn’t go as planned but even in the pivots the moms were informed, in charge, and supported. I’m so thankful for each family that allowed me to serve them this year.

And lastly, I cannot do a year recap without mentioning the women I’ve worked along side to serve our community. Thanks for all the laughs, mentoring, listening, and late nights.

As we come to the end of 2025, we at BCUC want to thank everyone for their continued support! We've loved serving you for the past 2 years. This year has been a year of growth within our group, and in the families we've been able to serve.

Yesterday was one of those days to get out of the house or risk insanity 😂

We started off doing school at , ran to my office for a few things, came home in time to start dinner and then ran back out to for a contract signing. I ended the day with a postpartum home visit 😅

May’s slot was officially filled yesterday so I am now booked through August, only 4 spots left for 2026!!
