Dr. Kroopf's signature procedure MILD has received more attention than any other pain management procedure. Why? Because outcomes for patients have been dramatically better than epidural shots. MILD is minimally invasive lumbar decompression - meaning no major open surgery, no long recoveries. Just pain relief and back to standing and walking and living daily life without pain interference! Here is Dr. Kroopf teaching the procedure to her colleagues. National Nutrition Month, celebrated each year during March, focuses on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.

Our patients always ask, "How do I feel better?" At MPSI, we recommend lifestyle modifications including regular daily exercise and a diet rich in antioxidants. The best source of antioxidants comes from plant-based foods - ie. fruits and vegetables. With our modern lifestyles, we are constantly eating on the run and many of us are operating at high levels of stress. Food is the best source of nutrition, but if you don't have time to eat healthfully, please supplement your diet with a safe, high quality nutritional supplement that is high in antioxidants. For specific recommendations, please comment below or contact our office.

Antioxidants: Why are they important?
Antioxidants are substances that may protect your cells against free radicals, which may play a role in heart disease, cancer and other diseases. Free radicals are molecules produced when your body breaks down food or when you're exposed to to***co smoke or radiation.

Antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E and carotenoids, may help protect cells from damage caused by free radicals. Other naturally occurring antioxidants include flavonoids, tannins, phenols and lignans. Plant-based foods are the best sources. These include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices, and even cocoa.

As a bonus, fruits, vegetables and whole grains high in antioxidants are also typically high in fiber, low in saturated fat and cholesterol, and good sources of vitamins and minerals. So enjoy the variety.

Our patients are achieving power over their pain with an innovative device that treats the source of the pain symptoms. This little stimulator is changing lives! Our doctor performed the first brachial plexus nerve stimulator trial in Monterey County using a noninvasive approach with image guidance.

At MPSI, weโ€™ve been busy eradicating chronic pain one patient at a timeโ€ฆ.

Just yesterday, our doctor performed a variety of pain relieving procedures. Every condition has a specific and individualized treatment plan. Every person is different. We acknowledge and honor that difference. ๐Ÿ™ โค๏ธ. We would love to help you feel better.

Our Mantra: DIAGNOSE. RELIEVE PAIN. RESTORE FUNCTION.
