Central Coast Audiology is a full service diagnostic dispensing audiology clinic. Unlike those big sterile clinics, we offer you personalized and compassionate service. Due to demand of our overwhelming service we opened a clinic in Salinas California servicing patients on an appointment only basis. CCA opened the Salinas office as a part time clinic in 2005 where we service the hearing impaired and conduct audio logic research for private hearing manufactures for the improvement and development of future technology in hearing aids. In addition to audiometric studies we have looked at areas of depression and hearing loss and hearing profiling. We are a practice that puts 100% into the patient. We are compassionate and caring. We feel blessed to be able to help those who are not as fortunate with hearing.

Heading out from Moss Landing for whale watching? Your balance on a moving boat relies heavily on your "Binaural Hearing"—how your two ears work together. If your hearing is unbalanced, your brain receives conflicting information about your environment, increasing the risk of motion sickness and falls.
An Audiologist ensures your hearing is perfectly balanced between your left and right ears, helping your brain maintain its orientation even when the Pacific is rough.

Stay steady and enjoy the view! Get balanced before you head offshore! Call (831) 216-1281 today.

When conversations become a struggle, many people begin to withdraw. This social isolation is devastating for the brain. Without the "pinging" of social interaction, cognitive decline can accelerate rapidly.
This is the "Social Isolation Loop." By treating hearing loss, we aren't just giving you back sound; we are taking your brain out of "Airplane Mode" and re-syncing it with the world.

Better hearing is the key to the social engagement that keeps the human brain vibrant and young. Stay synced with the people you love. Call (831) 216-1281 today!

Emerging research suggests a link between bothersome tinnitus (ringing in the ears) and balance instability. The constant noise can act as a distraction, interfering with the brain's ability to process postural information.
If you are dealing with both ringing ears and a sense of being "unsteady," you are at a higher risk for falls. Our specialized tinnitus and balance evaluations look at how these two symptoms interact.
We provide integrated solutions to quiet the noise and steady your gait, helping you move through the world with peace and precision.

Get the quiet and stability you deserve. Call (831) 216-1281 today!

An Audiologist understands that we actually "hear" with our brains, not just our ears. When hearing loss goes untreated, the auditory cortex of the brain can begin to atrophy from a lack of stimulation. This is why hearing loss is the #1 modifiable risk factor for dementia.

Our role at Central Coast Audiology is to provide the "brain food" (sound) necessary to keep your neural pathways strong. We work with you to ensure your cognitive health is protected as you age, keeping you sharp, engaged, and connected to your loved ones.

Protect your brain health today! Tag a friend who needs to hear this!

From the Monterey Jazz Festival to the Sunset Center in Carmel, our region is alive with world-class music. However, untreated hearing loss can make music sound "tinny" or distorted. We utilize specialized "Music Programs" in our devices that preserve the rich, natural tones of instruments while protecting your ears from sudden loud peaks.

By treating your hearing, you aren't just buying a device—you are buying a front-row seat to the cultural heartbeat of the Monterey Bay.

Don't miss a single note this season. Book your music-optimized hearing consult at www.ccaudiology.com.

Think of sound as "brain food." Every bird chirping, every rustle of leaves, and every word spoken at a Carmel bistro provides vital sensory input that keeps your brain’s cognitive gears turning. When that input is removed, the "gears" can begin to rust.

At Central Coast Audiology, our diagnostic process identifies exactly which frequencies your brain is missing. Our goal is to "re-feed" your auditory cortex with the precise stimulation it needs to stay fast, agile, and mentally sharp.

Give your brain the stimulation it craves. Schedule a consult at www.ccaudiology.com!

Balance is a complex task for the brain. When you have untreated hearing or balance issues, your brain enters a state of "high cognitive load." It is so busy trying to interpret sound and space that it fails to notice a rug corner, a pet, or a curb. This "divided attention" is a primary cause of falls in seniors. By treating the underlying audiological or vestibular issues, we "free up" your brain to focus on your surroundings.

Professional care isn't just a luxury; it’s a critical component of maintaining your independence and mobility.

Lighten the load on your brain. Schedule your consult today at www.ccaudiology.com!

Tinnitus, or ringing in the ears, affects millions, and many are told they "just have to live with it." An audiologist knows this isn't true. Tinnitus is often a sign of an underlying change in the auditory system. We perform comprehensive evaluations to identify the pitch and loudness of your tinnitus and develop a management plan using sound therapy, masking, or specialized hearing technology. We help "retrain" your brain to ignore the ringing, restoring your peace and quiet.

You don't have to endure the noise. Book your tinnitus consultation at www.ccaudiology.com.

When hearing loss begins, the first sounds to disappear are the high-frequency ones: the rustle of leaves in Carmel Valley, the chirping of birds, or the soft laughter of a loved one.
Because these sounds fade gradually, many people don't realize they are missing them until they feel "disconnected."
Modern hearing technology is designed to restore these delicate sounds without making everything else uncomfortably loud.
Reconnecting with the nuances of nature is a vital part of maintaining your emotional well-being and staying grounded in our beautiful region.
Reconnect with the sounds you love.
