Montezuma Specialty Care is a skilled nursing and long-term care community providing compassionate, individualized care for our residents, while also caring for their family's wellbeing and peace of mind. We serve residents from Poweshiek County, Iowa, and many surrounding communities. We are committed to providing our residents with an active and engaging quality of life through daily programming, social and educational activities, and services that promote physical health, provide mental stimulation, increase engagement and help our residents thrive in a home-like setting. Care Initiatives is Iowa’s largest nonprofit provider of high-quality skilled nursing care, hospice care, assisted living, independent living, memory care and more. ✨Team Member Spotlight: Meet Alyssa L., CNA! ✨
Alyssa has been a member of the team at Montezuma Specialty Care for six months. Her favorite part of her role is spending time with the residents and the opportunity to make a difference in their lives.

Alyssa chose to work in long-term care after she took care of her grandparents and fell in love with helping others. After graduation, Alyssa plans to pursue a degree in Nursing to become a Registered Nurse and continue working in health care.

In her free time, Alyssa likes to do her nails and spend time with her boyfriend, family, and friends.
