So grateful for the supportive community of people I have had the privilege to connect with and share the practice of Yoga with in Montgomery & Jay since 2017! As I branch out a bit further on the map, I want to share some basic info about me for those who are new to what I offer and my approach to teaching.
I have always believed that what I offer in my community should feel inclusive and not exclusive. I love that when you walk into my classes you will see people of all ages, shapes, and sizes practicing together. Yoga is about unity and in that broader sense about bringing people together. I teach to learn, to share and to offer opportunities where everyone feels they belong and are worthy of the benefits of yoga. Because when it comes down to it, when I’m teaching, it’s not about me. It’s about you. It’s about the practices. And about sharing that knowledge and creating that environment where all feel welcome.
And to me that’s what really matters if I’m to call myself a teacher of this tradition, because over the past 25 years of practice, and as a student myself, I’ve seen some crazy sh*t in the yoga world. And I’m not looking to offer more craziness but instead more space to just be present, to be real, to be empowered and to be welcomed just as you are.
