🍷✏️ September Wine & Dine ✏️🍷

Our theme this month was Back to School! We had such a wonderful lunch together—laughing, sharing memories, and enjoying a fun twist on cafeteria favorites. Chef Aaron gave the classics a sophisticated upgrade that took us right back to our school days (but far tastier than we remember from the lunch line 😉).

One of the highlights was looking through old school photos and trying to guess “who was who”—the smiles and laughter said it all! ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so special. We love creating these moments together!

Today, our community came together in a sea of pink to show love and support for one of our beloved residents as she continues on her journey. 💕

From staff to neighbors, everyone wore their brightest shades of pink as a reminder that no one ever walks alone here at The Waterford at Ironbridge.

Don Coleman!!
Don Coleman originally from St. Louis considers himself a Springfield, Missouri native.
Don worked preparing taxes for 15 years. He is close friends with Mike Randall a current resident at The Waterford. Don has two daughters that live nearby. He enjoys hunting of all kinds, including squirrel and rabbit. He’s a big sports fan especially the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoys watching sporting events on television. He graduated from the university of Missouri, GO TIGERS!! 💛🖤
 Don moved to The Waterford looking for help with his cooking😜 he is very much enjoying his meals that are prepared here and he says his experience so far has been very good.

Meet our newest residennts Barb and her son Doug.
Barb originally from Indiana moved to Ozark Missouri to be near her children.
Before moving to The Waterford, the two lived in Ozark Missouri for nearly 20 years.
Barb retired from JCPenney catalog after 26 years of service.
The two are liking their new home and when ask what they’re interested in they both replied “anything and everything.”
They are especially thrilled that they don’t have to go grocery shopping as all meals are provided.
These two fine folks are very easy to get along with, and we hope that when you see them in the halls you will invite them to activities or to join you for a meal.

Anna often dreamed of returning to her homeland of Germany. The Good Tree team saw how deeply she was connected to her German roots, so they decided to bring a piece of Germany to her. They prepared goulash and other traditional German dishes, creating a festive atmosphere filled with warmth and nostalgia. Residents and staff gathered to celebrate Anna’s heritage, sharing stories and learning more about German customs.

Autumn Glen celebrated the 70th wedding anniversary of Bill and Mary Lou this week. Surrounded by friends and family, the couple reflected on decades of memories through cherished photos and enjoyed a celebratory cake and a beautiful flower arrangement to honor the occasion. It was a big week for Billy, a resident of The Waterford at Mesquite. In honor of Father’s Day, the local mayor visited the community to recognize Billy as the oldest father living in Mesquite! Just a few days later, Billy celebrated his 100th birthday surrounded by family and friends. The celebration was filled with laughter and plenty of birthday cake. Billy’s milestone serves as an inspiration to everyone in the community.

John, a Magnolia Trails resident at Georgetowne Place, grew up on a farm and spent his childhood driving tractors and milking cows. He often shared these fond memories, so the team knew exactly what would make the perfect Tree of Dreams by bringing him back to the farm! With his daughter and great-grandson in tow, John was thrilled to see how things have changed and deeply grateful for the experience. Great job, team!

The Waterford at Round Rock worked with resident Becky’s daughter to give her the surprise of a lifetime by restoring their family car, a 1965 Ford Mustang. Filled with memories of family vacations and drives with her late husband, Becky’s eyes filled with tears. The moment she saw the fully restored Mustang, she was overcome with emotion and gratitude. What a beautiful gift and a reminder of cherished memories!
