💜 Hey everyone! I thought it was about time I popped back in and reintroduced myself.

I’m Renee’, the face (and heart!) behind Encouraging Words Speech Therapy Services LLC. I’ve been a speech-language pathologist for quite a while now, and I started this practice because I love helping people find their voice and grow with confidence. 💚 Let’s do a little rapid-fire Q&A so you can get to know me better (and maybe share your own answers in the comments too 😉).

✨ Favorite Food: Pizza
✨ Favorite Music: I like a variety of styles from rock, to pop, to country, and maybe even some old school hip-hop from the 1970s to early 2000s.
✨ Favorite Disney character: Winnie the Pooh (and Eeyore is my buddy 🐻💜🐾)
✨ Go-to coffee order: Mocha frappe from McDonald’s
✨ Favorite way to unwind: Cozy TV shows, reading, or playing Disney Dreamlight Valley
✨ Fun fact: I'm the reigning Mexican Train champion in my family, and I'm the queen of family game nights.
✨ Favorite Place: Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
✨ Perfect free day: Sleeping in, grabbing lunch out, bowling and/or karaoke with the people I love (or just having a quiet day with Netflix and some coloring!)

🎶✨ SAVE THE DATE! ✨🎶

I’m so excited to share that I am now a Certified Zumbini Instructor! 🥳💃🏻🥁

Starting in October, Encouraging Words Speech Therapy will be piloting our very first 6-week Zumbini session right here in the office! 🎵 Zumbini is a music and movement program designed for kids (ages 0–4) and their caregivers — full of singing, dancing, and playing that helps little ones learn, bond, and grow. 💜

👉 Details (day/time, pricing, and how to register) will be coming very soon!
👉 Space will be limited for this first session, so be sure to snag your spot once registration opens.

I can’t wait to bring the joy of music, movement, and connection to our community. Let’s get ready to Zumbini together! 🎶

🎤 Do you ever lose your voice or feel strain after talking a lot? Here are 3 quick tips for keeping your voice healthy:
1️⃣ Stay hydrated – sip water throughout the day.
2️⃣ Rest your voice when you’re sick.
3️⃣ Avoid shouting or whispering (both strain your vocal folds).
If voice problems persist more than 2 weeks, a speech-language pathologist can help! 💬

Some lunch break daydreaming got out of hand…and now I can’t stop imagining Disney running my therapy office. 🤪

✨ This post was inspired by a funny lunchtime conversation imagining what it would be like if Disney characters ran my therapy office… ✨

Donald Duck would be in a session with Tracey, throwing tantrums because he didn’t get the toy he wanted. 🙃

Mirabel would be leading a high-energy Zumbini class in the big therapy room (and probably making us all tired just watching her). 💃

Scrooge McDuck would be camped out in the waiting room, trying to sell parents “top-quality therapy materials” for way too much money. 💰😂

Mickey would be the official hug-giver to kiddos who are having a hard time. 🤗

Goofy would keep everyone laughing with his silly faces and clumsy charm. 🤪

Maui would strut around telling parents HE could do a better job at therapy than the rest of us—“You’re welcome!” 🌊💪

Ariel would be singing her heart out in voice therapy, even though she technically “doesn’t have a voice.” 🎶🧜‍♀️

Elsa would be in charge of regulating big feelings—“Okay, everybody, just let it go!” ❄️

Rapunzel would be the queen of craft activities, pulling endless supplies out of her tower bag of tricks. 🎨

Genie would pop in with 1,001 creative therapy ideas (and probably distract us all with his jokes). 💡✨

Can you imagine the chaos? Our real office is a little calmer than this (thankfully 😉), but we do try to keep it full of fun, encouragement, and a little Disney magic.
