Most mobility and stretch work is designed for one type of person.

Ray’s work is designed for a specific one.

The person who sits at a desk for 8 hours and then goes to the gym. Or runs. Or plays a sport on the weekend. And whose body has started to feel like it can’t keep up with both.

The hips that feel glued after a long day. The low back that aches through every workout. The legs that never fully recover between sessions.

That pattern has a cause. And it’s fixable.

Ray works specifically on restoring the hip mobility and movement quality that gets lost from long days of sitting — so your body can actually perform the way you’re asking it to outside of work.

His sessions are targeted movement and mobility work. Not massage. Not generic stretching. Specific work for your specific restrictions.

He has availability this week including Saturdays and weekday afternoons from 12–6.

You’re not out of shape.

You go to the gym. You stay active. You do everything right.

And your low back still tightens up by Wednesday. Still aches after leg day. Still feels stiff when you get out of bed on Saturday morning before your workout.
Here’s why.

Fitness builds strength. It doesn’t automatically restore mobility.

When your hips lose range of motion — which happens to almost every desk worker regardless of how much they train — your low back starts compensating during every single movement. Squats. Deadlifts. Running. Sitting. All of it.

Strength training on top of restricted hips just loads the compensation pattern more.

The fix isn’t less training. It’s restoring the hip mobility your training assumes you already have.

Comment BACK if this is your body right now. I want to know how many of you are dealing with this.

A lot of people ask what actually happens during a mobility session with Ray.

Here’s what it looks like.

You come in and talk through what’s been going on — where you feel restricted, what makes it worse, what you’ve already tried.

Ray assesses how your body is actually moving. Not just where it hurts — how the whole system is working together.

Then he works through a series of targeted movements and stretches that are specific to your restrictions. He controls the position. He guides the range. Your body does the work — but with his guidance it can access movement it hasn’t been able to reach on its own.

Most people feel a noticeable difference in their first session.

Not because it’s magic. Because the body responds quickly when you give it the right input.

If you’ve been curious about what this actually looks like — Ray has availability this week including Saturdays.

Two people. Same low back pain. Same amount of time dealing with it.

One gets better. One doesn’t.

The difference almost always comes down to this.

The person who gets better stopped focusing exclusively on where it hurts and started addressing why it hurts.

Their hips weren’t moving. Their body was compensating. The low back was doing work it was never designed to do.

Once that changes — once the hips start moving the way they’re supposed to — the low back finally gets a break. And it starts to recover.

The person still struggling is icing the low back. Stretching the low back. Treating the low back.
And the hips are still restricted. So the cycle continues.

This is not complicated. But it requires treating the right thing.

Save this if you’ve been chasing low back pain for a while.

If your neck has been tight for months — or longer — and nothing has fully resolved it, there’s usually a reason.

Your neck is one of the most overworked areas in the body. Not because it’s weak. Because everything above and below it is restricted.

A stiff upper back forces your neck to rotate more than it should. Tight shoulders pull it forward. Poor thoracic mobility makes your neck compensate on every movement.

So you get a massage. It feels better for a few days. Then the stiffness creeps back.

Because the upper back is still stiff. The shoulders are still tight. The pattern is still there.

Lydia works on chronic neck pain by addressing the full picture — not just the neck itself. She looks at what’s driving the restriction and works through it systematically.

Her schedule opens up May 12.

If your neck has been something you’ve been putting off — now is a good time to get ahead of it.

Eight hours of sitting shortens your hip flexors and reduces the range of motion your hips can access.

You might not notice it right away.

But over weeks and months your hips quietly stop doing their job. They stop absorbing force the way they’re designed to. They stop rotating the way your body needs them to during exercise.

So other things take over. Your low back. Your knees. Your shoulders.

Those things start to complain.

Most people address the complaint. They stretch the low back. They foam roll the IT band. They ice the knee.
And it helps — until they sit down again.

Ray works specifically on restoring hip mobility for desk workers who stay active. Not stretching for the sake of stretching — targeted movement work that addresses why your body stopped moving well in the first place.

If your low back is always tight by the end of the day — here’s what’s actually going on.

Your hips are designed to absorb a huge amount of your body’s movement. When they lose mobility — which happens gradually from sitting, repetitive training, or just life — your low back starts compensating.

It takes on load it was never meant to handle. All day at the desk. Then again at the gym. Then again on the weekend.

Eventually it stops recovering.

Ray specializes in restoring hip mobility for people who sit during the day and stay active outside of work.

People who are frustrated that their body feels like it’s working against them.

His sessions aren’t massage. They’re targeted movement and mobility work — designed to get your hips moving again so your low back can finally stop doing their job.

He has availability this week including Saturdays and weekday afternoons.

Ray works best with people who are serious about staying active and frustrated that their body keeps getting in the way.

Specifically people who play a sport or train regularly and keep hitting the same restriction.

Who have tried stretching on their own and it helps temporarily but never sticks.

Who feel stiff getting out of the car or off the couch — even though they’re active.

Who want to understand what’s actually going on — not just feel better for a day.

Ray combines hands-on mobility work and assisted stretching to restore movement patterns that are causing the restriction. He works with runners, pickleball players, gym members, and desk workers who want real results over time — not a temporary fix. He has availability this week including Saturdays and weekday afternoons.

Pickleball puts a huge demand on thoracic rotation — the ability of your mid-back to twist through a shot.

When your mid-back moves well, the force gets distributed across your whole upper body. When it stiffens — which happens naturally as we sit more — your shoulder has to generate all of that force alone.

That’s an enormous load for one joint to handle repeatedly. The shoulder complains. You ice it. Rest it. Come back and play. It flares up again. Because the mid-back still isn’t moving.

This is one of the most fixable problems we see — and one of the most commonly misunderstood. If your shoulder flares every time you play — comment PICKLEBALL below.

Ray has availability this week including Saturdays.

A lot of the people who book with Lydia come in saying the same thing. “I’ve tried everything.” Chiropractor. Physical therapy. Other massage. Rest. Stretching. Nothing has stuck.

Lydia specializes in chronic pain — the kind that keeps coming back no matter what you do. She works slowly and specifically, looking for the pattern underneath the pain instead of just treating where it hurts. Her clients are usually people who have been dealing with something for a long time and are finally ready to actually fix it.

Lydia’s schedule opens up starting May 12. If you’ve been waiting to get in — now is a good time to plan ahead.

If you’ve been stretching the same spot for months and it keeps coming back — you’re not doing it wrong. You’re just treating the symptom instead of the cause. Your body is smart. When a joint stops moving well it recruits nearby muscles to stabilize it. Those muscles tighten. You stretch them. They relax. Then the joint still isn’t moving — so they tighten again. This cycle can go on for years. Breaking it requires addressing why the muscle started guarding in the first place. This is the foundation of everything we do at Creative Wellness Massage.

Save this if it sounds like your body. And if you’re ready to break the cycle — Ray has availability this week.
