Sunday's Slow it Down offering♡

Happy New Year friends!♡

As we all ponder our New Year's goals or resolutions keep in mind the importance of theTransition.

The Big changes, most Significant and Informative details are in the time of Transition; the space between where you are now and where you want to go.

We tend to rush through this period to see and feel the end results. But to fully inhabit all we are hoping for, we need to move slowly through the transition.

Nature understands this and is patient as it flows from one season to the next, knowing its beauty is realized within the time of transition.

Also, in yoga we have our Transition Poses that seam each movement together. These movements allow for rest and space to feel into our bodies.

Transitions in life allow for:
🦋 Adjustments
🦋 Settling into change
🦋 Space to sense what feels right and what doesn't.
🦋 Rest & Rejuvenation

So have fun creating new goals and resolutions, but feel into the present, allocating time and grace for a slow moving, fruitful transition.

Thank you for the reminder ♡
One year ago, I received my Yoga 200 hour YTT Certification from .

There are moments-choices-decisions that can alter the course of our life, and this was one of them.

I wanted to help others feel the sense of inner peace that yoga brought to me, but my certification gifted me so much more. It opened a pathway to my own personal healing.

Isn't it interesting and beautiful how life happens?

Thank you to Stone Wave Yoga, all the beautiful souls I became certified with, our mentors, and all the students that grace our classes each week.

The circle of learning continues on.

Sunday's Slow It Down Offering♡

Today's class centered around the Journey Inward.
Why would I want to journey inward? What will I find?

Let me ask you a question? What role(s) did you play today? Parent? Spouse? Sibling? Friend, Co-Worker?

And how about labels? What labels do you attach to yourself or have you inherited? Sweet and helpful? Supportive and reliable? Lazy... grouchy?

When we wear our roles around everyday, we begin to solely lean on them and lose our sense of identity independent from them.

Who are you underneath the roles you play and the labels you wear?

I invite you to get comfy in a quiet space. Maybe close your eyes. Roll your shoulders and head. Soften your eyebrows and soften your thoughts.

Follow your breath as you breathe in and follow it as you breathe out.

Maybe your next breath in carries you toward your center- you can envision this as your heart.

With each breath in, move into your heart and each one out, release a role or a label. When you release something, notice your bodies response, the physical sensations or emotions that bubble up. Do not dismiss them or turn away; allow a sense of curiosity as a spectator. Then maybe embrace the emotion or physical sensation, offering it love and compassion. Maybe you feel a sense of peace with the release.

With practice, you will be able to separate yourself from these roles and labels with a sense of ease and willingness so you have more room to breathe from the deeper space that You reside, tapping into your center where there are no labels and no parts to play.

May you accept this offering and find a deep sense of connection to Yourself♡

What does a winter sunrise look and sound like,
how does it make you feel?

What do your senses tell you,
does it cause your body to reel?

Can you detach from your past experiences, as if this moment is fresh and new?

Leaving all the stories and their emotions, making room for something true?

Breathe in the cold, crisp air, feel it bite your skin. Hear the song of the cardinal, taking all the splendor in.

What do your senses tell you? Damn! It's good to be alive!♡
Give gratitude for your body, and all it's able to contrive.

Good morning ♡

Sunday's Slow it down Offering♡

Yesterday's morning movement was centered around...

Creating an environment within yourself that will allow your mind & body to inhabit the new day's experiences.

This is so much easier said than done, isn't it? But the first step is being aware and setting the intention. Then... before stepping onto your mat or defined space,

Leaving the attachment to your past stories & influenced thoughts off the mat to allow the day to seep in; getting a full feel of what it may want to show you, teach you... gift you.

So, I invite you to find a comfortable place to settle in. A place that feels safe and grounding. Roll your shoulders and necks. Wiggle your body around. Flick your wrists and shake your arms. Then settle into a little more stillness, maybe you still want a slow sway, that's ok too. Soften the mind and its agenda for the day. Become aware of your breath, watching it as it moves into your body and out. Then allow it to carry you inward toward your center.

From this place you can start your day♡ Allow this moment to help you surrender your re-telling of old stories or habitual patterns of thinking. Allow this to be part of your reset♡
