I don’t know who needs to hear this, but grief is not always tied to death. 🤍

Sometimes grief looks like:
• mourning the end of a relationship
• grieving the life you thought you’d have
• losing friendships, routines, or parts of yourself
• navigating divorce, estrangement, or major life changes

And just because something is still physically present doesn’t mean there wasn’t a loss attached to it.

Grief can exist in many forms, and acknowledging one type of grief does not minimize another.

If you’ve been carrying silent grief lately, this is your reminder that your feelings are valid too. Healing takes time. Give yourself grace. 🌿

This is what I’m trying to “shake on” more of lately… 🤝🍓🍋

More self-care.
More slowing down.
More little moments that make life feel lighter.

Because the truth is, life gets heavy sometimes. And while self-care won’t fix everything, those small moments of peace, joy, laughter, fresh air, good drinks, rest, and quiet absolutely matter too.

Little moments of self-care count too. 🤍

Life has been heavy for a lot of people lately.

Stress. Bills. Parenting. Work. Burnout. Grief. Trying to hold everything together while still showing up every day.

Sometimes survival doesn’t look inspiring.
Sometimes it just looks like getting through the day anyway.

So if nobody told you today:
I’m proud of you for continuing to try. 🤍

You don’t have to have everything figured out to keep going. One step, one breath, one day at a time still counts.

A gentle reminder:
You’re doing better than you think.

Friendly reminder that your nervous system was never designed to function in constant survival mode.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do for your mental health is slow down long enough to breathe, reset, and reconnect with yourself.

Rest isn’t laziness.
Pausing isn’t weakness.
And peace is necessary too. 🤍

Sometimes people become so familiar with pain that they unintentionally normalize it.

Not because they’re cruel.
Not because they don’t care.
But because survival taught them to suppress empathy for themselves first.

When people have been forced to “push through” their own trauma, grief, hurt, or hardship without support, they can begin expecting others to process pain the same way.

But healing isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Everyone deserves space, compassion, patience, and grace while navigating difficult moments.

Empathy matters. 🤍

TGIF because whew… we MADE it. 😮‍💨😂

This week was full of work, responsibilities, school projects, stress, deadlines, and trying to keep all the plates spinning.

So consider this your reminder to pause this weekend.

Rest.
Laugh.
Sleep in a little.
Touch grass.
Watch a show.
Spend time with people you love.
Do something that helps you feel like YOU again.

You can’t function at your best when you’re constantly running on empty.

Protect your peace this weekend. 🤍

Not just as a therapist—but as a person navigating life, growth, stress, healing, self-care, boundaries, and everything in between in real time too.

A lot of what I share here comes from both professional knowledge and lived experience.

My hope is that this space feels educational, relatable, safe, and human.

Mental health isn’t just about processing difficult emotions.

Sometimes it’s also about finding healthy ways to release stress, reconnect with yourself, laugh, move your body, and genuinely enjoy life again.

And honestly? Fun matters more than we give it credit for.

Experiences like this can help:
- reduce stress
- release tension
- improve mood
- support connection
- give your nervous system a break from survival mode

Self-care doesn’t always have to look serious.

Sometimes healing looks like letting yourself play. 🎮🤍

Somewhere along the way, a lot of us were taught that taking care of ourselves was “extra,” selfish, or something to feel guilty about.

But the truth is… self-care and mental health are deeply connected.

Sleep matters.Rest matters.Movement matters.Doing your hair. Getting your nails done. Taking a walk. Drinking water. Laughing. Pausing. Breathing.

None of those things “fix” life—but they can help regulate your nervous system and remind you that you matter too.

Self-care isn’t about avoiding responsibility. It’s about maintaining yourself while carrying it.

Normalize taking care of you without guilt.

A lot of people think regulation is something we’re supposed to do completely on our own.

But the truth is… our nervous systems are constantly responding to the environments and people around us.

That’s why co-regulation matters.

The tone people use with us.
The way conflict is handled.
Feeling emotionally safe.
Feeling heard instead of dismissed.

All of it impacts our ability to regulate.

And this doesn’t just apply at home—it matters in friendships, relationships, parenting, leadership, and work environments too.

Sometimes calm is contagious.
And sometimes dysregulation is too.

Yesterday I asked a simple question…
and a lot of you answered honestly.

And the truth is—many of you are pouring from empty right now.

You’re not alone in that.

But awareness matters.
Because once you recognize it, you can start being more intentional about what you need.
