🎥✨ WOPR’s founder and owner Fightress Aaron is honored to be featured in Danielle Wallace’s Built by Stories series with Chayil Media Publishing!
In this feature, Danielle beautifully captured the heart of Wellness Oasis Pike Road (WOPR) — Alabama’s first and only Black woman-owned wellness coworking office. From walking the construction grounds, to furnishing each office with intention, to creating a sanctuary for small businesses, mothers, students, and therapists — this is our story.
But this story isn’t finished.
We’ve already donated 1,000+ coworking hours to our community through the Mamas Matter Initiative and supported 20+ local businesses. Now, we’re raising $12,000 to sustain WOPR through February 2026 and expand our Community Fund to provide 1,200+ more free coworking hours to those who need it most.

👉🏽 Then join us in keeping WOPR’s doors open to serve small businesses, entrepreneurs, and community members Hello friends,
My name is Fightress Aaron, and I am the founder of Wellness Oasis Pike Road (WOPR) — Alabama’s only Black woman-owned, wellness-focused coworking office. As a homeschooling mom, licensed professional counselor, and longtime member of this community, I created WOPR in Pike Road/East Montgomery to be so much more than office space. It’s a sanctuary where small businesses grow, mothers find quiet moments to work on their goals through our Mamas Matter Initiative, students have a safe place to study, and therapists can serve clients in person.
Since opening our doors, we have donated over 1,000 coworking hours to local small businesses, mothers, and students, supported more than 20 area businesses, and hosted events connecting our community with vital resources. But to keep these doors open and expand access to those who need it most, we need your support.
We are raising $12,000 to sustain WOPR through February 2026 and fund 1,200+ hours of free coworking for those balancing family, education, entrepreneurship, and mental health work. Every $25 you give provides one hour of coworking for someone in our community.
If you believe in supporting local businesses, empowering mothers, and creating spaces where everyone can thrive, please consider donating or sharing this post. Your support will keep WOPR a place where our community can focus, connect, and heal.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
