🦷 February is National Children’s Dental Health Month! 💙🧡

Did you know❓

🦷 Baby teeth DO matter! They help children eat, speak, and save space for and help guide adult teeth into place.

🩺 Dental health is linked to overall health — infections in the mouth can affect the rest of the body.

🧠 Children with untreated cavities may have trouble focusing during play and learning.

👄 Tooth pain can affect eating, sleeping, and learning in young children.

⏰ Early dental visits help catch problems before they become painful or costly.

🪥 Brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste helps prevent cavities — even for toddlers.

Daily brushing, limiting sugary drinks, and regular dental checkups help protect children’s teeth and overall health. Auburn University’s Early Head Start supports families with preventive care and education so every child can grow with confidence — and a bright smile!
