Wayne County Hospital would like to take a moment to say a heartfelt Thank You to everyone that purchased lunches for our Volunteer’s Valentine Luncheon on Wednesday February 11. This year’s luncheon was a huge success and proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the hospital. We would also like to take a moment to thank the volunteers for all their hard work and dedication daily - we appreciate you all so much!

“The professional care I received from the Wayne County Rehabilitation Department during my physical therapy (PT) from shoulder surgery was superb. Heather Allen and Carlee Wallen customized a rehabilitation plan that allowed me to progress steadily without any setbacks. Each PT session was conducted in a defined and orderly manner aligned for me to regain strength, range of motion, confidence and flexibility. Follow up exercises were described and demonstrated for me to work on at home after each session.

During my rehabilitation, detailed notes were taken and progress status was reviewed to give me the needed confidence to ‘Press On’. Heather and Carlee were friendly and responded to my questions and concerns. I was able to recover and return to normal duties in a short period. I am very thankful to have been under their care during this period.

Overall, the Wayne County Rehabilitation center is well managed, and the staff is friendly and approachable. I also witnessed their caring approach with other patients. The PT areas were always clean and organized with equipment ready for use. Scheduling was also accommodating to best fit my schedule.” – David Jones
