Does your child eat any of these products? Beware that oat-based cereals, instant oatmeal, and granola bars have repeatedly shown up in independent tests with residues of Roundup (glyphosate).

Here’s why…

Oats are one of the crops most commonly sprayed with glyphosate shortly before harvest.

It’s used as a drying agent to kill the crop evenly so it can be harvested faster. When it’s applied that late in the growing process, residues are more likely to remain on the grain.

Ending the pre-harvest spraying of glyphosate would dramatically reduce the amount of residue showing up in foods on grocery store shelves.

To protect yourself and your family, it’s safest to choose organic food, especially oats and wheat, which are commonly sprayed right before harvest.

That’s because synthetic herbicides like glyphosate are banned in organic farming, and far less likely to be contaminated.
