Our Prevention & Education team offers a variety of youth programs to the Newburgh community and beyond. For example, our Too Good For Drugs program helps students build the skills and tools they need to make confident, positive and healthy decisions for themselves and their futures.
Students learn about goalsetting, the impact of peer pressure, refusal skills and strategies, as well as gain insights on important information about alcohol, to***co, and other drug use. The curriculum also emphasizes the importance of healthy relationships with family and friends, positive communication styles, and making choices that support a strong future.
Cheers to the good work of our partners, such as Rebecca Atlas at TEAM Newburgh, and Sgt. First Class Fernandez & Sam Yusim from the National Guard Counterdrug Task Force.
