Every parent thinks it won’t happen to them.
but car crashes are one of the leading cause of death for kids in the united states.

and the truth is, nearly half of all car seats are used incorrectly.
even when we try our best.

a CPST will tell you:
✨ rear-facing is 5x safer for children under age 2
✨ kids should ride rear-facing until at least age 2 (and ideally until they max out the seat’s height/weight limit)
✨ harness straps should be snug-no slack, no twists
✨ chest clip should be at armpit level
✨ kids should ride in the back seat until at least age 13
✨ bulky coats can compress in a crash, leaving straps too loose
✨ the seat should move less than 1 inch side-to-side at the belt path
✨ car seats expire (usually 6–10 years) and should never be used after a crash
✨ keep kids in a harness until they reach the seat’s limits-boosters are for later
✨ in a booster, the lap belt must sit low on the hips, and the shoulder belt should cross the middle of the chest

statistics remind us why it matters:
✔️ properly used car seats reduce the risk of fatal injury by 71% for infants and 54% for toddlers
✔️ “just a short trip” is when most crashes happen
✔️ we don’t get to choose the moment we’re hit
✔️ seconds matter, and so does preparation

our babies are worth the extra two minutes.
they’re worth slowing down.
they’re worth doing it right.

because nothing matters more than bringing them home safe.❤️

Today, and every day we remember the events of 9/11.

We remember the parents who unknowingly put their kids on the bus and went into work for the final time.

We remember the innocent people who boarded a plane not knowing they would never come home.

We remember the firefighters who marched up countless flights of stairs knowing they would never come back down.

We remember the days and months that followed where we were all unified as ONE nation, under God.

We remember the soldiers who would go on to pay the ultimate sacrifice in the wars that ensued.

We remember those who battled, and continue to battle illnesses related to the events of that day.

We remember the families who continue to reap the loss of their loved ones.

We Will Never Forget September 11th, 2001.

We have had our very own smiling face at Monticello Medical for more years than she will allow us to share. Stacy is truly a warrior, handling all that life hands her with grace and a continuous heart for people. We are so very thankful for her, and we will be Stacy's Support Crew anytime she needs us! Stacy is our very own Cancer Kicking Heifer, and we wanted to show up and show out in our orange today.🧡

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

As we celebrate the hard work and dedication of workers across the country, let's take a moment to appreciate and support each other. Whether you're taking a well-deserved break or putting in that extra shift, you deserve recognition. You are appreciated‼️
For a lot of people, Labor Day means a day off & the end of summer. But why is it called Labor Day? Labor Day is set aside to pay tribute to working men & women. It has been celebrated as a national holiday in the United States since 1894.

OUR OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED MONDAY SEPTEMBER 1st and WILL REOPEN FOR NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 2nd.

❗️We have been set up in Monticello once before and we had an amazing day! The only downside was our huge trailer barley fit on the Square. It was not easy squeezing into that location, we ended up blocking some areas. Monticello Medical Associates has a big parking lot and it looks like we will fit our trailer in just fine. Lets give it a try, come by Friday and grab some BBQ ❗️
