That’s one reason teeth are often used in forensic dentistry to help identify individuals. Your dentition (the arrangement of your teeth) is truly one of a kind.

Most adults have 32 permanent teeth, and each type plays an important role:

🦷 Molars – grind food for digestion

Adult teeth usually begin erupting around age 6, with most permanent teeth in place by the teenage years (wisdom teeth may appear later).
