Roscka
Founder and Funeral Director
1963-2013
John opened Miller-Roscka Funeral Home in May of 1997 with the guidance of Fred Miller. Fred had been a funeral director in the Idaville and Monticello areas since 1936. John then graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, Illinois, in May of 1989. Before opening Miller-Roscka, John served families in Knox, Plymouth, and Monticello. John was a member of the Indiana Funeral Directors Association and the Indiana Independent Funeral Directors Association. During his lifetime he was active in many community activities including many Chamber of Commerce events, local civic organizations, and was involved in 4-H activities. He also served on the Twin Lakes School Board for almost 20 years, was an active volunteer at the school concession stands, and could be found emceeing choral events, as well as running the sound system for the elementary school programs. John was also a member of the Monticello Christian Church where he operated the sound system for many years. John's proudest achievement was his family. He married his wife, Teri, in 1989. They have one daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Justin Brown. Ashley and Justin have four children, twins Lincoln and Mallory and twins, Levi and Graham. They were the lights of John's life. John's goal was to treat every family who walked thru our doors the way he would want his family treated in this time of need. We will continue to honor John's legacy with quality service consistent with the way John served the families he had the pleasure to help over the last 26 years. Teri Roscka

Also, Teri is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and White County Retired Teachers. She keeps busy with the care of her grandchildren, Lincoln, Mallory, Levi, and Graham.
