This week, we proudly celebrate National Case Management Week, recognizing the compassionate professionals who help guide patients and families through every stage of the healthcare journey.

Case managers play a vital role in coordinating care, ensuring safe transitions between hospital and home, and connecting patients with the resources they need to heal and thrive. Their work bridges the clinical and human sides of healthcare, advocating for patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and making sure every individual receives the right care at the right time.

Across the system, our case management teams embody the Centralus Health values of compassion, integrity, and teamwork. Their dedication helps reduce barriers to care, prevent readmissions, and improve outcomes for the communities we serve.

We extend our gratitude to our case managers and social workers for their expertise, empathy, and unwavering commitment to patient-centered care!

Cayuga Health extends a special thank you to The H&E Bar in Burdett for their generous support of Gorges Givers, a partner of the Schuyler Health Foundation.

Through their annual golf tournament, H&E raised $1,000 to help women in Schuyler County who are undergoing cancer treatment. These funds help ease financial burdens like transportation, medications, and daily living costs during recovery.

We’re grateful to H&E Bar and everyone who participated in the tournament for supporting patients and families in our community.

This week, Centralus Health celebrates Healthcare Security and Safety Week, recognizing the dedicated professionals who help keep our patients, visitors, and staff safe every day.

At Cayuga Health, several Security team members are members of the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) certification program, reflecting their shared commitment to professional standards and the safety of all we serve.

At Arnot Health, the Public Safety team demonstrates excellence through full participation in the IAHSS program. All staff hold certifications aligned with their roles, from Basic to Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator, and the department proudly holds the title of IAHSS Program of Distinction, the only institution in New York State with this honor.

Thank you to every member of our Security and Safety teams across Centralus Health for your dedication and service!

Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day. Centralus Health and its affiliates reside on the traditional homelands of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. The Haudenosaunee Confederacy are an alliance of Five Nations, also known as People of the Long House, and the original inhabitants of these lands. The tree shown, an illustration of a white pine, was chosen by the Peacemaker as a symbol of the unity of the nations of the Haudenosaunee confederacy. Its needles, which always grow in clusters of five, symbolize the uniting of the nations.

A big thank you to everyone who joined Centralus Health at the Teddy Bear Clinic during the Montour Falls Harvest Fest! We had an incredible time meeting so many families and young “caregivers” who brought their favorite stuffed animal for a check-up. Our teams loved helping kids learn about health care in a fun and friendly way through mini exams, band-aid stations, and hands-on activities that turned learning into play.
