Meet Bhakti Patel, PT, Pelvic Health Specialist
We are thrilled to introduce Bhakti Patel, a licensed physical therapist with advanced training in Pelvic Health through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Originally from India, Bhakti moved to the U.S. during the COVID-19 pandemic, settling in Chicago and passing her licensure exam on her very first attempt. She began her professional journey in New York, where she discovered a significant gap in pelvic health care : long waitlists, limited access, and few trained specialists. Determined to change that, she pursued advanced pelvic health training to make expert, compassionate care more accessible to everyone.
Bhakti treats a wide range of pelvic health conditions including
• Bladder concerns: leakage, urgency, frequency, incomplete emptying, and bladder pain syndrome.
• Bowel dysfunction: constipation, painful bowel movements, and incontinence.
• Pelvic pain: endometriosis, painful in*******se, pudendal neuralgia, coccyx pain, prostatitis, and chronic pelvic pain.
• Pregnancy and postpartum care: diastasis recti, prolapse, back or SI joint pain, pelvic heaviness, scar tissue restrictions, and safe return to exercise and intimacy.
• Geriatric care: addressing incontinence, constipation, and prolapse in older adults.
In addition to pelvic health, Bhakti also treats orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and vestibular disorders allowing her to take a holistic, full-body approach to healing.
Her practice philosophy blends orthopedic and pelvic health expertise to provide personalized, evidence-based care that restores movement, relieves pain, and rebuilds confidence.
Beyond the clinic, Bhakti is passionate about educating and empowering her community. She actively shares approachable pelvic health and wellness tips on Instagram:
