SUCCESS STORY FROM RUSSELL REHAB AT VALLEY VIEW
Cindy Emig, Short Term Resident of Valley View Talks About Her Success Story

This whole mess started because I was in a hurry and fell in front of my house. I broke my femur and was told that I would need to go to a rehab center to get stronger. I came to Valley View to gain strength, and I am so very glad that I did. I knew I would need to step up and do all the things my therapists asked me to do, or I wasn’t going to be able to return home. I started out using the stand-aid, and a short time later, with lots of hard work and dedication, I excelled at being independent with transfers and ambulation.

I am so thankful my therapists helped me to learn how to be more careful and how to position my front wheeled walker. All my therapists were very friendly. When I first arrived, I was nervous. All the therapists made me feel so comfortable and safe. I can’t just pick one individual therapist to recognize because they all bring something different to the table.

I always wanted to be able to be home till I was older like my mother; she was in her 90’s and still living at home by herself. And now thanks to the Valley View therapy department that may be possible. I would recommend Valley View Rehab & Nursing Center because this is the place to come to get better and go home.

Congratulations to Cindy and the Valley View Therapy team on her successful rehab!

VALLEY VIEW RESIDENT'S ENJOYED AMERICA'S FAVORITE PAST TIME LAST NIGHT -- THEY ATTENDED THE CROSSCUTTERS BASEBALL GAME IN WILLIAMSPORT

What a better way to spend a Thursday night than enjoying some baseball with friends and family. The rain held off just in time for the first pitch.

Thanks to all our recreation therapy staff and our fantastic volunteers -- we couldn't do it without all of you!
