VNAs of Vermont

VNAs of Vermont A professional trade association which represents the Medicare-certified home care agencies in Vermont at a state and national level.

The member agencies of the VNAs of Vermont provide a full range of high quality, low cost home health and hospice services to the people of Vermont. Each member is committed to universal access to medically necessary, cost-effective, home health and hospice services throughout the state; local community governance, involvement and accountability; promotion of client self-determination and independ

ence; and high standards of quality performance and continuous quality improvement. The VNAs of Vermont was incorporated by the directors of the non-profit Medicare-certified home care agencies in Vermont in 1971 as the Vermont Assembly of Home Health Agencies (VAHHA). The purpose of this professional trade association is to provide one voice to compete in the national and Vermont political arena. In 2014, the VAHHA members changed the organization’s name to the VNAs of Vermont to better reflect the collective state-wide reach of the non-profit members. Today, the ten non-profit VNAs of Vermont (VNAVT) members provide home health care and hospice statewide.

Happy Town Meeting Day, Vermont!

Around the state voters will be considering town funding requests to support access to high-quality home health care, hospice, long-term care, and family-child health care through their local, designated home health and hospice agency.

Our Vermont family members, neighbors and friends depend on access to quality care at home.

President Carter was truly a lifelong public servant. By making his choice of hospice care public he brought new attention to an important national conversation around the benefits hospice care can have for people, their loved ones, and their caregivers.

Thank you for your courage, President Carter.

We mourn the loss of of Jimmy Carter, 39th President of the United States and Founder of The Carter Center, and express our deep gratitude for his courageous decision to make his choice of hospice care public.

President Carter continued his devotion to a life of service until the very end. He showed Americans how to embrace a stage of life that many don’t want to think or talk about. He helped the nation understand how hospice helps patients live full lives at the end of life.

Join us in thanking President Carter for lighting the way for all of us by using the hashtag. Members can also download the image we've used below to share on their own pages and help spread the word. Download here: https://allianceforcareathome.org/candles-for-carter/.
