Our Difference Maker here at Westview Meadows this April is Laura K.! Laura has been a Resident Service Assistant at Westview Meadows for six years. She is ever dependable and reliable but don't think for one minute that she is without a witty side.... Laura often elicits chuckles from residents (and staff, too)! She has a talent for creating gorgeous stoneware and recently has taken to finding fun patterns to crochet. She has been making emotional support chickens which she selflessly gives away to friends. Laura's generous and kind heart make her a steadfast cornerstone here at Westview Meadows and we are grateful to have her on our nursing team. Thank you for all you do, Laura!

Residents gathered to share in this annual Vermont tradition! Chef Deven skillfully prepared the pure maple syrup, sourced from Farnham Farm in Plainfield, and served it over shaved ice with a doughnut and pickle. The sweet practice dates back to Indigenous populations and has remained one of the most historic maple recipes which native and non-native Vermonters enjoy every season.

Residents gathered in the main dining room to watch the Vermont Celtic Company dancers. These talented dancers have performed here at Westview Meadows for several years and this is a much anticipated performance this time of year! They demonstrated traditional Highland and Irish dances to Celtic music and showed some contemporary works to today's music, too. It was a wonderful way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!

I can't believe it's almost over... the Westview Winter Olympic Games has kept us busy in our Main Dining Room. Our 'competitors' have been competing in events such as: Skip-Bo qualifying rounds (you could hear a pin drop), Slippery Slope competition (yes, the fans cheered each other on with pom poms); and pool noodle hockey (rowdy roars of fun)!
Tomorrow, we'll hold our Westview Winter Olympics Awards & Closing Ceremony to recognize all of the residents who participated in 2026 Games and, of course, showcase the winners.
