At Westview Meadows, our excellent culinary staff not only prepare delicious daily meals but also create tasty snacks and beverages, too. An afternoon snack cart provides room service in the early afternoons to our Residential Care residents and, on occasion, staff provide refreshments for social hour in our Santa Maria Lounge before evening dinner service. Residents and staff, alike, enjoy the treats and conversation!

Westview Meadows used a home-made ice cream maker to turn cream and sugar into delicious ice cream! Residents had the choice to eat the treat plain or add some chocolate sauce or rainbow sprinkles. It was a well-attended gathering filling the main dining room with much chatter and smiles!

Cowboy Poet, Mark Munzert, visited us here at Westview Meadows making residents smile, laugh, tear-up, and ponder by sharing stories & lessons of cowboy life, bringing his poetic parlance & rhymsical recitin’ sharin’ tragedy & triumph. Then folks gathered for a Hometown Hoedown in the Main Dining Roomo. We wore jeans & western duds including cowboy hats and boots as we ponied-up for some line dancing. With good grub from the kitchen, it was a rootin’-tootin’ good time. Yee-haw!!!

Wedding Bells at Westview Meadows! Our Main Dining Room was decorated in wedding décor, cherished wedding photos and a flowered archway. Folks gathered for a wedding themed Show and Tell to share stories and memorabilia from their weddings and in the evening, enjoyed a delicious meal specially prepared by the Executive Chef reminiscent of a wedding reception meal. Thanks to all for the preparations, participation and sharing that made this a special day here at Westview!

This month we headed to Isle le Motte to visit St. Anne’s Shrine. We also stopped at Goodsell Ridge Fossil Preserve which is an 85-acre preserve offering year-round free access to 480 million year old fossils from the Chazy Fossil Reef.
