NEW MOON SOLAR ECLIPSE IN CANCER, SUMMER SOLSTICE
Dear friends, this is a special week in the skies, and on our planet. This weekend, we have a New Moon in Cancer, accompanied by a Solar Eclipse and the Summer Solstice! Hold onto you seatbelt.
A New Moon, is always a time for a re-set of our intentions, plans, and outlook on life. It especially affects the house in which it shines in our natal charts, so if you need help finding that, let me know. But, the New Moon shines down equally on all of us, and we can harness its energies, for our own heart-felt purposes, whatever the area of our life.
Because there is a Solar Eclipse, this is a particularly powerful Super Moon. The Solar Eclipse magnifies and amplifies the energies of the moment, giving them a gigantic boost, and sometimes offering wild quantum non-linear changes....surprises... Because the New Moon is in Cancer, it has an emotional, mobile, nurturing feeling to it. We may be inspired, to be more nurturing to ourselves, to others, and we may feel drawn to the things which mean home to us, our actual home, people who make us feel at home, or Mother Earth. Because the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, is Saturday, we also get some of the historic boost, from generations of celebration the Earth's abundance. The fruits of the garden, the endless green, here, of the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains. We can relish and re-nourish ourselves, in this beautiful earth, even if the humanly dramas are ablaze and chaotic.
It is an especially good time for putting our feet in the soil, putting our hands in the little stream, walking our favorite Park, and paying a little attention, to those plants in our window box. Breathe in the air. Gaze to that sky.
Astro-meditation. Where in my life, can I do a better job, of sharing the nurturing compassionate energy of Cancer? What needs freshening? How can I deepen my connection to the earth, and truly connect with my genuine gratitude for her loving arms, her bounteous offerings, her steady companionship? Here is some of the beauteous soil in my back yards, abundant with sparkling mica and quartz. What can you touch, and take into your heart, this weekend?
