Summer is Fire Season in Chinese Medicine. We can understand summer and support out bodies by cooling down, hydrating, and breathing.
Cooling Down: Heat exhaustion occurs when the body overheats due to prolonged exposure to high temperatures. Symptoms include excessive sweating, weakness, dizziness, nausea, and headaches. This is your body’s way of signaling that it needs cooling and hydration.
Hydrating: With the summer heat, our bodies lose more water through sweat. Dehydration can manifest as dry mouth, fatigue, dark urine, and dizziness. It is crucial to recognize these signs and ensure adequate fluid intake to maintain optimal hydration levels.
Breathing: Summer allergies, often triggered by pollen, mold, and dust mites, can lead to symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, and congestion. These symptoms indicate that your body is reacting to allergens in the environment, and it needs support to alleviate the discomfort.
Cool down, hydrate, and breathe. Reach out for support. I am here.
