At Tessera Therapeutic Massage, I offer integrative massage customized to each person's unique needs and goals. Clients range from those in need of extremely gentle, supportive touch to those seeking deeper focused work for chronic pain, tension patterns, or injury management. I also have advanced training working with clients currently in cancer treatment and those living with cancer histories. In addition, I am certified in Manual Lymph Drainage (Vodder Technique) through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy and have completed the full Lymph Drainage Therapy training through the Chikly Health Institute. By improving lymphatic flow, MLD may be helpful for a variety of conditions including post surgical swelling, sports-related injuries, chronic fatigue syndrome, migraines, and seasonal allergies. MLD is also extremely relaxing and soothing to the nervous system so may be helpful for sleep quality, anxiety, and chronic pain. MLD can be a useful tool in managing mild lymphedema secondary to lymph node removal or damage, although it has temporary effects and many folks require ongoing self care and compression to manage long-term.

Finished my work day and I'm officially on medical leave pending surgery tomorrow. I'm really going to miss this but I'll be back at the end of February! Reach out if you need a referral in the gap, self lymph drainage videos, or anything else. My body might be resting but my brain will still be working (give it a few days post anesthesia!).

I got to spend Friday and Saturday at the annual meeting and conference. Always a great event and lovely to spend time with my colleagues from Central Vermont Medical Center's Radiation Oncology Department. Had some great conversations in the vendor hall about oncology massage and our unique training that empowers us to provide safe and effective care πŸ’œ

Our Story

At Tessera Therapeutic Massage, I offer integrative massage and/or manual lymph drainage customized to each person's unique needs and goals. Clients range from those in need of extremely gentle, supportive touch to those seeking deeper focused work for chronic pain or injury management. I do NOT believe deep massage needs to be painful to be effective. I also have advanced training working with clients currently in cancer treatment and those living with cancer histories. In addition, I am certified in Manual Lymph Drainage (Vodder Technique) through the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy as well Lymph Drainage Technique Levels 1, 2, and 3 through the Chikly Health Institute. MLD/LDT can be supportive for a variety of conditions including post surgical swelling, acute injuries, Lyme disease, and seasonal allergies. MLD can also be a useful tool to help manage mild lymphedema secondary to lymph node removal, radiation treatment, surgical scars, and trauma. Because of its gentle, repetitive feel, it is soothing to the nervous system and may help sleep quality, anxiety, and pain.

ALL bodies are welcome on my table and EVERY body deserves safe massage. *Notice to NEW client inquiries: I am only accepting new Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) and Oncology massage clients (those currently in cancer treatment or with a cancer history). If you have previously been given a Gift Certificate to my practice, I am, of course, delighted to work with you as a therapeutic massage client! Feel free to email me with any questions. Current and past clients are welcome to schedule any service as usual.*
