Hope for Annabelle Moon Annabelle Moon was born with a congenital heart defect and Down syndrome. This page is her life journey of hope, courage, love and life. A plan was formed.

Annabelle Moon was born in October 2016 in Pasadena, CA. Diagnosed at birth with a congenital heart condition and soon rushed From Huntington Hospital to Children's Hospital Los Angeles where doctors told her mother Crislyn Sand that Annabelle was born with Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome) and a congenital heart defect called Unbalanced Complete Atrioventricular Septal Defect (AVSD), with Hypoplastic Right Ventricle, with Moderate AV Valve Insufficiency. At only 2 days old; Doctors told her mother that there was no cure for Annabelle's condition and she would eventually show signs of congestive heart failure and pass away, they suspected that it would be within the year.The next day staff put their years of experience and knowledge together and offered Annabelle Moon hope to preserve her arteries and valves so they could potentially do surgeries on her in the future to help extend her life. Annabelle Moon would require three heart surgeries to give her a fighting chance to love, live and grow. On October 18, 2016 only a few weeks old: Annabelle underwent the first surgery called a Pulmonary artery Band which was to preserve her arteries and lungs so she could have her second surgery and give her body time to grow. Update: 6/13/2017
March 17th 2016 Annabelle had her second heart surgery a Bidirectional Glenn Shunt there were some compliations and she ended up requireing within the same week 3 other surgeries. Currently Annabelle has been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and on Oxygen and a Pulse Oximiter which needs monitoring 24/7. She is on a series of medication for her Blood Clotting and lung / heart fluid retention. She has pulmonary hypertension and is mostly in good spirits most of the time. On our following page you can see what equipment we use daily to educate and strengthening her to give her the best life possible. PLEASE DONATE supplies or anything you may find to help support Annabelle Moon and the family as they plan for additional upcoming heart surgeries. All of the funds donated will be put to all of Annabelle's Medical cost and co-pays which include: Special Vaccinations, Vitamins, Syringes, Medications, Phsycial Medical Theraphy Equipment, Supplies and Tools for her to develope her muscles to make her as strong as possible to give her body a fighting chance to make it thru the procedures.

We recently found out that the guy in this article was in Annabelle’s classroom over the summer for one day…….
Which just so happened to be the week that she came home with the black eye, scraped knee, and a scraped elbow.
She told me she didn’t like the school and she didn’t want to go to summer school after the incident and the teacher said that it all happened in the play yard unrelated to this case.

However, I’ve been emotionally upset thinking that this pe*****le and abuser was around my child for four hours one day last year….

We spent a few wonderful afternoons with my cousin and my aunt before she passed. Annabelle enjoyed visiting Waldo (the dog) and Ube (the dog) Gloria my cousin , her partner Thomas and of course our Beloved Mama Ely. Annabelle played Mama Ely some ukulele and lullabies to bring comfort and love. These last few memories we have with her alive are so precious to us. We miss Mama Ely so much.

Sorry we haven’t posted and update in a while a lot has happened this month of January.
On the 4 year anniversary of Papa Nathan’s death 1/11 our beloved Mama Ely passed away on Sunday 1/11/2026 at 82 years old.
Annabelle spent several days with her before her passing. We are grieving.
Will update about Annabelle’s life soon.
