Our Story

Tuscany Spa started as a flash of inspiration and a long held dream. Mother-Daughter duo Hermina and Michelle Lathe we’re shopping one afternoon when they passed a beauty school. Suddenly Michelle (that’s me) realized something momentous “Mom, I want to do what you do. I want to become an esthetician.” Hermina raised her brows and smiled, only remembering the comments months later when Michelle restated it. Hermina was stunned, “You were serious?” And this was the start of a 20+ year family business.

When they were looking for a new location Hermina wanted to create her dream - a european oasis, inspired by childhood dreams and the colors from her favorite film “Under the Tuscan Sun.” Michelle (me again) was happy to let her have control of the new spa. Hermina had a great eye and the results bear that out.

Today Tuscany Spa has been happily nestled in the bedroom community of Montrose-La Crescenta for more than a decade. Offering clinical skin care with spa relaxation they’re old tag line was “Got Real Skin Problems, Get Real Results!” And that still holds true today. With restorative, therapeutic body massage their body treatments are result-focused and relaxation rich. Clients with sensitive and breakout prone skin love our waxing services. With 3 types of sensitive wax and post waxing treatments skin is hairless, smooth and breakout free.

Our wellness extends with Chinese Medicine. Dr Karen, OMD offers Acupuncture, Acupressure, Cupping, AcuMassage, whole food nutrition, life coaching and herbs to speed healing.
