It’s been a great week at EMEC!

Our clients had the opportunity to give back through volunteering at Marley’s Mission, participate in the NAMI Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health Awareness Walk, and enjoy time outdoors with some waterfall swimming and recreation.

Recovery is about more than sobriety. It’s about reconnecting with community, wellness, and joy. ⛰️

This weekend, members of our clinical team participated in a women’s trauma-focused retreat, continuing their work supporting healing beyond the walls of our program.

We’re proud to have clinicians who are deeply committed to trauma-informed care and ongoing growth in how they support those we serve. 🪷

Recovery in action.

Our clients and staff spent time volunteering in the community this week.. giving back, rebuilding confidence, and proving that change is real.

We’re grateful for the chance to show up and pitch in at Christy Mathewson Park and Bridgewater of Susquehanna County.

A great night for a great cause. ✨

EMEC staff attended the AHCL Un-Masking the Stigma Masquerade Ball this weekend, and it was an incredible reminder of how powerful community support can be when it comes to mental health.

We’re proud to support efforts that bring awareness, compassion, and real resources to those who need them most. 🖤

We’d like to extend a sincere thank you and farewell to Aimee as she wraps up her time with us at EMEC.

Aimee is a doctoral occupational therapy student (Class of 2026) who joined us for the spring semester. During her time here, she brought a thoughtful and innovative approach to care; developing and implementing her Wellness Workbench program, which focused on building practical life skills, emotional regulation, and overall wellness.

Although her placement with us was brief, Aimee has spent the past year engaging with our team and population, and her impact has been meaningful. She recognized the value of integrating occupational therapy into the drug and alcohol field and has expressed a strong interest in continuing to serve this population in her future career.

We’re grateful for the energy, insight, and compassion she brought to our clients and staff.
We wish her nothing but success as she continues her journey.. we have no doubt she’ll do great things. ✨⛰️

Thank you, Aimee!
