We are proud to highlight the meaningful moments happening at Deer Meadows Rehabilitation and Nursing .

Residents are encouraged to take part in activities that bring joy and purpose to their daily lives. Mr. Randolph, a familiar and valued member of the community, has returned to share his lifelong passion for gardening. Having learned from his grandparents at a young age, he is now helping bring new life to the garden beds with the support of generous donations.

Working alongside the garden club, he is adding color, care, and creativity to the courtyard and the front of the facility. April showers truly do bring May flowers.

Join us for Memory Matters: Community Support Group for Memory Loss.

You are not alone. This monthly support group offers a safe and welcoming space for individuals experiencing memory loss, as well as caregivers, family members, and friends. Together, we share experiences, offer encouragement, and provide helpful resources.

The first meeting will be held next Tuesday, May 12, at Nassawadox Rehabilitation and Nursing .

🗓 When: 2nd Tuesday of each month
⏰ Time: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
🍪 Light refreshments provided

📍 Locations:
• Nassawadox Rehabilitation and Nursing (May, July, September, November)
9478 Hospital Ave, Nassawadox, VA

• Eastern Shore Area Agency on Aging (June, August, October, December)

Mountain Laurel Rehab & Nursing enjoyed an educational outing today at Rural Retreat High School! 🌿

AG teacher Brian Alexander shared an informative presentation and answered questions about how the school’s greenhouse operates. With 28 years of teaching experience and 16 years running the greenhouse, he provided great insight into their work growing hanging baskets and garden plants for the community.
