If you keep putting yourself on the back burner, you're going to burnout.

The truth is, self-care doesn’t “just happen.” You’ve got to plan for it the same way you plan your work schedule, family commitments, or grocery shopping.

Here are a couple of simple ways to make sure your self-care doesn’t slip through the cracks:

✅ Schedule your bodywork 𝑏𝑒𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑒 you’re in pain. Don’t wait until your body is screaming at you.

✅ Book a few sessions in advance. Put them on your calendar and treat them like non-negotiable work meetings (because honestly, your well-being is your most important work).

✅ Set reminders for movement and mini-breaks. Even a quick stretch, shoulder roll, or walk around the block helps keep stress and tension from building up between appointments.

Your body is carrying you through everything else. It deserves a spot at the top of the list!

When you're stuck at your desk all day...take a few seconds to help get connected back to your body.

It's easy when to lose track of time (and posture) when engrossed in work. The next thing you know, hours have gone by and you've barely moved your body.

Ever see a dog shake off water after a swim? That’s your shoulders needing the same shake to fling off tension that clings when you sit still and hunched over your computer all day.

Try this: pause, roll your shoulders, take a deep breath.

…and it’s leaving your muscles stiff, your back sore, and your sleep restless?

Tension headaches often don’t just come from your head, they usually begin with tight muscles and knots in your neck and upper shoulders. When those muscles are overworked or stressed, they can send pain signals that radiate up into your head.

I had a client who suffered from daily tension headaches. After just a few massage sessions focusing on releasing neck and shoulder tension, she noticed her headaches became less frequent and less intense.

While a majority of people are concerned about their health and well-being, many find it difficult to fit ‘me time’ into their hectic schedules.

Karma Love Massage Therapy offers professional and individually tailored massage therapy treatments exclusively focusing on women’s health and wellbeing.

We work with clients to determine what style or type of massage therapy will best suit their needs in order to provide the best possible outcome. Whether that involves deep tissue massage to relieve stress induced muscle tightness, sports massage to alleviate pain from an injury, or swedish massage to provide a sense of relaxation and well-being, Karma Love Massage Therapy is well versed in all different types of treatment.
