Double Sky Tournament is in the books!! We worked hard for 3 days keeping our athletes on the court and it paid off with a Tournament Championship!! Proud of our BearcATs and our Basketball Bearcats!🏀

If you have an athletic trainer and a student trainer program at your school, show them how much you value and appreciate them this Christmas season.

Here’s how you can support athletic trainers and show appreciation for everything they do:

1. Say Thank You and Celebrate their work– A simple “thank you” goes a long way. Take time to recognize the athletic trainers in your life.

Write them a note and give them an Amazon or Visa gift card(never met an AT who didn’t have a list of items they wanted to make their training room better), restaurant gift card to provide a meal for student trainers, or take them a coffee. These simple gestures go a long way.

2. Recognize Their Expertise – Remember, athletic trainers are healthcare professionals, not just “trainers.” They are educated, certified, and crucial to injury prevention and recovery.

Athletic trainers and student trainers do so much to keep athletes healthy and active.

Day 2 of Double Sky Tournament. We had an exciting win to advance to the Tournament Championship and a quick emergency to handle.

These 2 BearcAT Student Trainers hopped into action and assisted me in getting Brody Smith back into action quickly! From the time the injury occurred to the time we had him back on the court was about a total of 90 seconds! I am extremely proud of them and how they responded during this minor emergency!

Happy to say all is well and Brody is patched up and ready for the Championship game tomorrow!l
