Moonachie First Aid and Rescue Squad is a non profit volunteer organization. The Squad is dedicated to providing First aid, rescue, and rehab to the borough of Moonachie, its residents and businesses. The Squad also provides these services to surrounding towns when the need arrises. We are very proud to announce that we have provided this professional and timely care for over a decade with out mis

sing a call. The squad consists of over 80 members operate six specialty vehicles, one amphibious vehicle, and two boats all of which are equipped with first aid and rescue supplies.

Response at 11:44 this Morning to 22 Adult Drive for Multiple Trailer Homes on Fire. Rehab Rescue 3 responded & set up Rehab across the street from the fire. Rescue 1, Rescue 5 & Rescue 7 also responded to the scene and multiple EMS Stations were set up. We would also like to Thank Carlstadt Volunteer Ambulance Corps. for responding and assisting at the Scene with Rehab.

This Afternoon, The Moonachie First Aid & Rescue Squad Welcomed the Moonachie Summer Recreation Program to Our Building. Our Members went over our Equipment, explained what we do, gave a tour of our Rigs, & did some demonstrations. Our Team continues to grow, and we are always looking for Members. We are flexible with Crews & provide training. Tonight Officers & Members attended the Robert L. Craig School 8th Grade Graduation. Congratulations to the Class of 2025 & to the recipient of this year’s Health Award which was presented by Captain Smith.

This Evening two Crews staffed on Rescue 5 & Rescue 7 covered The Weeknd Concert at MetLife Stadium, while Officers & Members stood by at our Squad building should any Medical Emergencies arise. We continue to thank all our Officers & Members for their dedication.

A busy afternoon & early evening for the Officers & Members of the Moonachie First Aid & Rescue Squad. At 15:32 hours South Hackensack Fire Command requested our Rehab Unit respond to a working house fire. Rehab Rescue 3, and Rescue 2 responded to the scene & upon arrival set up a table, chairs, & our oxygen manifold. One firefighter was treated by our Members & did not require transport. The Squad also handled 2 Medical Emergencies at 17:14 & 17:44 which Rescue 2 & Rescue 5 handled. As always thank you to our Members for their dedication.

Today Officers & Members attended the Borough of Moonachie Annual Memorial Day Service held at Borough Hall 🇺🇸

Another busy weekend for the Officers & Members of the Moonachie First Aid & Rescue Squad. Friday Rescue 7 covered the Shakira Concert located at MetLife Stadium. At 21:02 & 21:12 hours the Squad was dispatched for separate Medical Emergencies which Rescue 1 & Rescue 2 covered both calls for service. After just returning to the Boro from the first Medical Emergency, another call for service came in at 22:30, which Rescue 1 handled. On Saturday Morning, the Squad attended a Car Wash Fundraiser held at Borough Hall for the RLC School 7th Grade Fundraiser. Finally this Evening Officers and Members attended the Annual Church Service held at the First Presbyterian Church of Moonachie remembering past Members.

** This week, May 18 - 24 is known as EMS Week. We are grateful for all our Members who continue to answer the calls for Service. It has been another busy end of the week & weekend for the Officers & Members of the Moonachie First Aid & Rescue Squad. Thursday Morning Members participated in the Student Youth Government Day, where Rescue 7 was on display. Later that Evening, all 5 Squad Officers attended a Class held at HUMC to learn and teach our Members about certain Medications on the Ambulances. On Saturday at 16:43 hours the Squad was dispatched for a Motor Vehicle Crash on Redneck Avenue with injuries. Rescue 1 & Rescue 7 responded & obtained 3 RMA’s on scene. Finally today, our Members stood by at the annual MS Walk at Overpeck Park where we provided a Rehab area for the event. One minor injury occured and was transported to Valley Hospital. As always we thank our Members for their continued dedication! 🚑🇺🇸

Today was a busy day for the Officers & Members of the Moonachie First Aid & Rescue Squad. This morning, we attended the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Robert L. Craig School. We also provided coverage today at MetLife Stadium for the Motorcross Event. At 14:51 & 14:55 the Squad was dispatched for two medical emergencies, and answered both calls for service. Members also spent the day washing & checking the apparatus. We would like to thank our Members for their dedication today. 🚑🇺🇸
