I want to share (and not forget this beautiful moment)

I was in self checkout buying protein powder and almond milk when I heard someone call out my name a couple of times. It was a former High School student many years back I use to train / her and her team. She said, “I don’t know if you remember me, but…. “

I do remember her… She was laser focused, very talented… skilled… a beautiful go-getter, achiever…

She looked happy standing there in her all dark clothes, nose pierced and soooo kind and respectful.

I often wish I could have done more for those students… I was donating 1-2 hours, a day sometimes to the athletic teams that came in… I wish I was a little softer then… wiser…. I wish a lot of things.

Why dilute the message… If I took the time to share… why cut it up in bite size pieces to be digestible.

I’m working on sharing content daily as my way of showing up, being vulnerable, letting you into my life and what I do….

I remember this moment clearly… as if it was yesterday. I think that’s a testament of choosing what YOU WANT to remember… We have the ability choose our turn trigger moments; they do not have to be moments of TRAUMA that define us… They can be be beautiful, positive moments that DEFINE how we move forward in our life.

I think the measures you will go to heal yourself… and THEN heal your relationship to blood ties says a lot about a person… While it’s easier to walk away from blood family or stay in toxic cycles… in actuality it is not… You block yourself, your life force, the energy you bring to the planet…

Little known fact… I packed BIOCOFFEE to India… to Nepal… and across Spain on the Camino de Santiago… and I shared my packets.. splitting them in half and into thirds because I love BIOCOFEE so much…. Sharing thoughts over coffee over a breakfast drink feels natural to me…

I’m working on keeping my videos below 3 minutes even if I have to dissect them into segments. But I remember this moment clearly… as if it was yesterday. This may not make it very far…. Because this app has boundaries already set up to deter this form of introspective thoughts… There were times when we could sit and share our thoughts… not get upset… not take things personally to the point of feeling attacked… we could articulate thoughts without having to water them down to make it digestible.

If you stayed to the end… maybe commented your thoughts in a non-hostile manner… tagged someone or shared it to your story… you are part of that ripple effect I spoke about towards the end…

Conversations may start off rocky… but through more open conversations deeper connections come… I’m not trying to convince others or put others against others… I’m showing up here… the way I would at my kitchen table with my daughters…

I had an exceptional dinner last night with two people that came to my class; the conversation flowed was open… we ended up standing outside continuing the conversation… it was conversation; not sides… not forced or watered down. I’d like to see more of that here… in my life…

I struggle to post because I think my content is boring… I film / record my everyday life. Things I find exciting, moments I want to capture, not curated and unrelated to what I do for a living or a specific ‘niche.’.

Then I thought today… why not put audio that resonates with me over videos that seem to have ZERO relation to each other… ME being the COMMON DENOMINATOR. 🎥🍃

It would be easier to post detaching my life from a curated post about an upcoming class or event- easier to NOT let you into my house or into my world… my family… relationships, thoughts and beliefs. It would be EASIER to keep it business in the front and my life in the back - hidden…

I saw this reel and it said,

“The way social media and algorithms are designed is to keep you unaware of what you’re doing.”

And thought.,. Yeah, I don’t want to remain unaware. And I know my personal SM account is not a good representation of who I am… good as in solid, completed sum of my moving life… That’s on me… and I’m changing that with this reel.

Maybe I’ll post this original reels too… with the reel sound of me talking to chickens… but for now… let’s show up… and show our full selves and let the light in… open our homes to those ready to step in 🌺🍃✨

Every morning… I get up.. pet and hug Kai (rescue pittie)…. Feed the feral cats that live down by th creek that runs through my neighborhood… I change their drinking water…. Take an allergy pill… make a cup of bio coffee (place it on my cup warmer) and proceed to make Kai a peanut butter treat… I wash his water bowl and replace it with clean water. Let him outside… and watch him; because he feels safer… calmer when I do.

I get my cup of BioCoffee… and move to the kitchen table to talk to my oldest… and then outside to see the sun.

My agenda says… journal… workout… but my heart says; family first. I take a call from my youngest daughter… we talk about how she’s feeling over speaker so my oldest can hear her too… I hear my youngest granddaughter, Ivy, in the background and my oldest shouts from a distance, “Hi Ivy 🎉❤️”… and I make a funny voice saying hello too.

It all began with taking time… having a cup of BioCoffee ready and conversation.. health.. physical and mental…

Good ⛅️🌪️ morning !

It has been an insane Friday evening in the Tulsa area with the tornados that touched down. After sitting at the table with my oldest, she shared some devastating updates on the devastation of last nights tornado. This video was done before she shared the news

We sat over a cup of talking about my lecture I’ll be doing today, HEALING THROUGH GENTLE MOVEMENT… I will be incorporating a moment of silence and prayer for those devastated and the lives lost.

I read that in Ethiopia coffee was an act of gathering in tribes… the whole process of grinding the coffee beans to the brewing & sharing circle process.

I’m grateful for our morning ritual sharing our cup of BioCoffee and conversation to set the tone.

I’ll be at Stoney Creek Hotel today & tomorrow in Broken Arrow at sharing my meditation practice, healing methods and modalities. The lecture is today at 2pm. - Sat at 2pm.
