It's time to get your instrument playing right again! Book your appointment today! The journey to guitar repair has not been a direct path for Mark Quenzer.

Starting his musical career as a drummer and expanding in to audio production, this appeared to be the final destination. However, with the launch of his retail music store, Lunar Music Supply, the need for understanding guitar care, maintenance, and repair seemed to be inevitable. Refusing to sacrifice quality of craftsmanship, Quenzer left Oklahoma and began his studies with John LeVan of Guitar Services Workshop in Nashville, TN in February, 2017. What started as way to ensure all guitars were properly setup in his store, quickly turned into a passion and unrealized potential for making guitarists fall in love with their instruments again. After 20 months of setup and fret work, Mark wanted to offer every option of repair and even acoustic guitar restoration. With this determination, he left Oklahoma once again to spend another month in Nashville learning Advanced Guitar Repair and Restoration from LeVan for a cumulative 185 hours of in-depth guitar repair. In August of 2021, Mark and his apprentice Grant Miller traveled to Chicago to study tube amp building and repair under Kye Kennedy. While in Chicago, Mark built a 5E3 Deluxe, and Grant and Mark got to learn all about schematics, diagnosis, and everything involving tube amp repair. Starting in 2022, what once was Lunar Music Supply will now be known as Oklahoma Guitar and Amp Repair or OKGAR for short. OKGAR is a place for all musicians and creatives. A place where any gear problem can be solved at the hands of our experienced technicians, a place where your loved instrument with many stories to tell can be revived once again. As well as a repair shop, OKGAR is a lifestyle brand for anyone to wear, support, and be apart of.

Hello all!

With tour season approaching and my schedule outside of OKGAR getting busier and busier, I have made the decision to stop accepting any new repairs at this time. I am currently at capacity and any new project would run the risk of not being completed before I am out of the shop for a while. Over the next few weeks I’ll be finishing up all project in the shop and returning them to their owners. If you currently have an instrument in with me, it is my *top priority* to get it back to you as soon as possible!

In the meantime, if you are in need of setup work hit up and he may be able to get you taken care of out of OKGAR.

Friends, it has been a wild couple of weeks for me in the shop, but especially out of the shop. I won’t bore you with all the details, but the gist of it is that I’ve been in and out of doctors offices for the past 2 weeks, had a minor surgery last week and a more serious one yesterday. The minor one left me feeling great and I was right back in the shop, this one however… it’s knocked me down. If I’ve got your guitar or amp right now, I promise I’m doing everything I can to get back to the shop and have it ready for you, but today I’m having trouble even standing up straight. I’ll try to keep this outlet and my page on google maps updated with hours and availability, but right now I’ve got to let my body heal. And believe me… that’s hard for me. I’ll be back as soon as I can and I’ll take care of those that have had to wait on me and my health. Thank you all for your support and patience!

Updated hours for December! Headed to Vegas today with the amazing and then taking some time off to enjoy the holidays with the family! With the holidays approaching quickly, we will be focusing on getting the shop cleared out of all current projects and starting next week, will only be accepting setups, fretwork, electronics repairs. We want to be able to help out as many players as we can this winter, but the bigger jobs have been taking away from this time. Cracks, bridges, and finish work will resume in 2024! Make sure to book soon, as spaces are limited!

Hello Friends! October is here and I wanted to drop in and let everyone know what’s going on with the shop and what we’re looking forward to for the rest of the year and into 2024! First and foremost, a HUGE thank you to everyone who has trusted us with their gear and who has referred us to their friends. We simply cannot thank you enough.

After nearly 8 years of guitar repairs, we are making the tough decision to raise prices on our services starting Monday, October 23rd. Our website will outline some of the changes under the “Services” tab, for other quotes, please shoot us an email!

Over the years, we’ve tried to stay on par with many of the other local shops and major retailers in our area. However, we are confident that the level of service and our knowledge base has exceeded many of these establishments and their pricing has, in reality, slowed down our service to you. We will continue to honor all current prices leading to the 23rd, but with that, we expect a larger volume of repairs entering the shop. If you would like to make sure to get your guitar setup or amp worked on this month, please visit the scheduling link in our bio to book your appointment ASAP.
