We had the sweetest time speaking at Simple Modern’s Mother’s Day event 💐

So grateful to be part of such a special day celebrating mamas 🤍 More content coming soon! ✨

You can use simple “props” to improve your connection to your core and get more out of each rep. The goal is a strong mind–muscle connection so you’re not just going through the motions🔥

✨Option 1: Place a ball between your knees. This engages your inner thighs (adductors), which helps recruit more muscle fibers at your pelvic floor and deep core.

✨Option 2: Squeeze a ball between your hands. Try it in different positions!! (side lying pressing into the ball or on hands and knees with one hand on the ball)

✨Option 3: Roll a small towel and place it under your lower ribcage. This is especially helpful for more advanced movements like dead bugs or if you notice your hips taking over! 🤗

We get it core engagement is hard. Breathing while engaging your core can be even harder! 🤯

Core engagement isn’t about holding your breath, it’s about creating space! Think 360° rib cage expansion: inhale wide through your ribs (front, sides, and back), while you maintain some of your core engagement. Then exhale slowly as you draw your belly button up further and your ribs in!

✨ Inhale: ribs expand, core stays gently engaged✨ Exhale: ribs soften down, core fully engages

No gripping. No crunching. Just controlled, intentional breath that builds real stability from the inside out.

This technique can take time to master, so be patient! Focus on adding one breath at a time to your engagement!

Wowwww we did not expect this much engagement from our last reel!! But we are here to help!! 👏🏼👏🏼

Here’s the big takeaway for core engagement - there is a lot of variety and options depending on the load or task you are completing. You want to be able to manage pressure well. For most workouts, if you are holding your breath, bracing out into your abdominals, or forcing your back flat into the ground you might not be best utilizing your abdominals.

Goal is to be able to breathe as you engage your core (soooo not holding your breath through a plank😉). You should feel your pelvic floor + core gently lift up and in. The lift will be from your p***c bone to your ribcage vs just sucking in.

Abdominal work can be TRICKY because there is a lot of mental connection to make it happen. As pelvic PTs, we work with patients on this daily and an individualized approach is best because every body is different.

Hope this helps🫶🏻🫶🏻

Core engagement is more than just “flatten your back,” “belly button to spine,” or “sucking in” 🤯

This might mean you have a slight curve in your back!! Often times when you focus on tucking and flattening your back you are just tilting your pelvis and NOT getting more abdominal recruitment 🫣

There can often be a disconnect of core and breath coordination resulting in back pain, hips popping, or lower belly pooching.

Thoughts?? What have you been told in workout classes that either helped or confused you?

405 Mom’s Club Mama Mixer was a beautiful success!! What a wonderful morning connecting with mama’s and vendor’s in the community!

Huge shoutout to and for the hard work and dedication that went into this event, it truly did not go unnoticed!

👀👀…..consider this your sign to get on our schedule!!

Pelvic PT is for more then just pregnancy (although that is a great time too😉). Hip pain, back pain, painful periods, difficulty with workouts, 💩 &💦 problems, are all things we work with often!!

If you’ve been wondering about pelvic floor therapy, give us a call or schedule a consult call on our website 🤗

A work culture that actually fills your cup. 🤍

This weekend was a reminder of what’s possible when a team is built differently- rooted in Christ, grounded in purpose, and centered on people.

We spent intentional time reflecting on what it looks like to be planted, rooted, and truly flourishing:

🌱 Planted
We each have been planted at Perfect Peace for a purpose and it is not random. Each of our unique stories reminds us of how invested God is into each of our lives, through both the big and small details.

🌿 Rooted
It is Jesus alone who anchors and unifies us, and this shapes the way we show up.

☀️ Flourishing
It is beautiful to see how we have flourished as a business and team over the last few years, but the future is only brighter.

Our work culture is a team that doesn’t drain you, but strengthens you. A culture that doesn’t just look good, but is actually life-giving.

Thank you, Jesus, for what You have built! 🙌🏼 And thank you to each team member (and spouse) for making this work SO FUN. Forever thankful we are on mission together! 🥹🫶🏼

Ever wondered what a pelvic floor therapy visit *actually* looks like here? 🤍

✨ We start with a thorough review of your symptoms- because your story matters.
✨ Hands-on treatment that may include both internal *and* external work (always with your comfort and consent).
✨ Functional, individualized movement tailored to your body and your goals.
✨ Clear education about your condition and your plan of care- no confusion, no guesswork.

And here’s what makes us different:
• You see the SAME provider every visit
• NO techs — 1:1 care, always
• Extended sessions so nothing feels rushed
• Care that’s focused on YOU- not how many people we can fit on the schedule

Because real healing takes time, intention, and attention- and that’s exactly what you get here.

We just wrapped up our Q1 team retreat in Tulsa and GOODNESS..

It’s not quite possible to recap this incredible weekend in photos or videos, but I’ll make an attempt to do so. 🤪

Before sharing all the fun had…

These are the things I was praying over going into the weekend. He was so faithful to answer each of these prayers and more.

We are missing a couple team members, but my prayer is the same for them, and God is so faithful to answer those prayers for them in different ways. They were deeply missed, but we look forward to next time.🫶🏼

I love this team. I love their hearts. I love their commitment to Perfect Peace and the women in our communities. I love the commitment their husbands have to this business as well. They each are such humble leaders and servants, and we saw that in action this weekend.

We shared life stories together. Prayed together. Laughed together. Made sweet memories together.

We are going into this work week with full hearts and ready to serve you! 💖

Recap reel coming next!🤩💃🏐🥩☀️
