Kenneth Stein, PA-C has over 20 years of experience with both Pediatric and Adult ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) medicine. He is a skilled diagnostician. In addition to routinely providing medical treatment for ENT problems, he is adept at multiple office procedures and minor office surgeries, assuring affordable and easy access to proper ENT specialty care.

ORTHOPEDICS:🦿
Breaks, sprains and other orthopedic injuries are all too common – especially in children. We partner with Oklahoma City Orthopedics Sports and Pain Medicine (https://okcorthopedics.com/) to see our patients weekly on-site and to keep an orthopedic surgeon on call.

PEDIATRIC CARE:👶🏼
Mandy Brown, APRN, CNP sees pediatric patients in Moore. She has provided health care from birth and up in a family practice setting for 21 years.

Rosi Rios, PA-C sees pediatric patients in both Noble and Norman. She is bilingual - fluently speaking English and Spanish.
With experience in hospital medicine, urgent care, and more than five years in pediatric primary care, she is dedicated to delivering care to children from infancy through adolescence.

We are starting to see TICK BITES!

With the rain we've had over the past week and based on past history, we will soon start seeing patients with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (photo below is American Dog Tick which carries RMSF).

📣Ticks love wooded, grassy areas and your pets.

📣Ticks take time to transmit any infectious disease (4 to 24 hours depending upon the tick and the infection).
✅If you have a tick on you, remove it as soon as possible by using tweezers to grasp the tick close to the skin and slowly pull backwards. After removal, wash the area with soap and water, rubbing alcohol, or hand sanitizer.
✅DO NOT squeeze or twist the tick, which can push infectious material into you.
✅DO NOT use Vaseline, heat/flame, nail polish, or other substances on the tick. This simply doesn’t work or can injure you.

📣WATCH FOR SYMPTOMS if bitten, such as rash, fever, joint or muscle pain or swelling, headache, fatigue, or nausea or vomiting. Symptoms may appear several weeks after the tick bite. See your provider if you have symptoms.

📣PRECAUTIONS:
✅If walking through the woods or grassy areas, tuck shirts into pants and pants into socks and wear light colored clothing to help make crawling ticks more visible.
✅Do a tick check every time you come in from these areas. Include ears, belly buttons, under arms, behind knees, waist area, legs, genitalia, scalp and hair.
✅Also, be aware that your outdoor gear and pets (even if they only go out for a minute) can bring ticks inside your home
✅Use tick repellent like DEET.
✅Check the bottle of repellant for age appropriateness.
✅Apply sunscreen first and then apply insect repellent.
